Six United States Democratic lawmakers are urging Secretary of State Marco Rubio to raise concerns over the alleged use of excessive force against protesters during his visit to India this week. Rubio will skip New Delhi, visiting Jamnagar and Mumbai, where he will meet External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday (Oct 20). Both countries are seeking to strengthen economic and strategic ties despite differences over India's purchases of Russian oil. Rebecca Bundhun reports for CNA from Mumbai.
