The Philippine Foreign Ministry has summoned the Chinese ambassador to express its unhappiness over his remark last week on how Beijing could "easily win" a military confrontation between the countries. The Philippine foreign secretary said Mr Jing Quan's remarks were "provocative and unacceptable" and senators have called for him to be expelled. However, China has taken issue with their demands and urged the Philippines to "restrain the irresponsible words and actions" of politicians". Jhesset Enano reports from Metro Manila.
