Description

The haze in Singapore may have eased slightly on Oct 18, but it has already taken a toll on business at the Deepavali bazaar in Little India. Some merchants report sales falling by about a third compared to last year. Organisers have also noted the fall in visitor numbers. They are considering seeking government grants to help stallholders with rental costs if haze conditions worsen. Nikhil Khattar reports.
