Description

Almost one in three deaths in Singapore is due to heart diseases or stroke. Despite cardiovascular conditions affecting Asian patients differently, much of what we know about the disease has been shaped by animal models and Western populations. Singapore’s new Centre for Integrative Human Cell Research and Translation (CIPHER) is aiming to close that gap. CNA speaks to Assistant Professor Chrishan Ramachandra, deputy director of CIPHER.
