The Grammy Award-winning star played the track, called What Is Enough, during his sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden, on the second anniversary of Payne's death. Styles is currently performing at the New York venue as part of a residency on his record-breaking Together, Together tour. Addressing the packed crowd on Friday night, the singer paid tribute to Payne as a friend and someone he "wouldn't have been able to do this without". As a spotlight shone over him, Styles made a moving speech, in which he honoured Liam Payne, who died two years ago after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina. "I feel incredibly lucky to get to play these shows here in New York, and this building means a lot to me," said the artist. "There are so many people in my life, friends and people that I've worked with that I wouldn't have been able to do this without," he continued.

Alright everyone, it’s time for WWE Smackdown. We’re on the heels of Money in the Bank which was kind of a giant nothing burger, doubly so on the Smackdown side of things as there wasn’t a Smackdown match on the event. But Tiffany Stratton and Penta won the briefcases, so now we’re doing another friend turning slow burn on the women’s side of things. On RAW that’s what Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez are doing, and have been doing for ages now, while on Smackdown now we get to look forward to Tiffany turning on WWE women’s champion Chelsea Green. Penta was a good choice for the men’s briefcase, though the Smackdown main event scene is packed right now and moving him over might be a logistical error if he does cash in on Sami Zayn. We’ve got to build to Crown Jewel quickly, and hope the Riyadh airport doesn’t get bombed again, so expect some more champion vs. champion stuff. Though Liv vs. Green and Roman Reigns vs. Sami don’t feel like super important matches, but maybe that’s just me being incredibly jaded. Tonight Nikki Bella gets to rematch Paige and Nikki trying for a title run in 2026 is just divine punishment aimed at wrestling.

I went to see the new Tom Cruise film, Digger, at a midweek matinee in Pasadena, expecting it to be a somewhat monastic experience. Still, I hadn’t imagined that I would comprise one-sixth of the audience, and one-half of it by the movie’s end. There are bad movies; there are always bad movies. But then there are the ones that make you want to carve a little circle around your chair and tunnel your way out. Digger is a two-hour movie about climate change, apparently intended for an audience that has never heard of that particular plague. More specifically, it is an indictment of America’s involvement in that horror, and really of America itself.
