Description

For people with special needs, working out at a regular gym can come with challenges. One programme in Singapore has created a welcoming space, with workouts adapted to each individual. NCSF Uplift is a free strength-training programme that caters to people with intellectual disabilities and autism, as well as those with physical, hearing or visual impairments. It now supports about 300 participants, with some 500 volunteers. Sessions run throughout the week at Tai Seng, with additional weekend sessions at City Hall and Bukit Timah.
