Police, military, fire investigating CFB Wainwright disaster

Description

The community of Wainwright and the families of those involved are still coming to terms with the tragedy that unfolded at CFB Wainwright on Saturday. Minister of Defence David McGuinty announced Tuesday that some of the injured Canadian Armed Forces members have been released, with 33 of the 39 still in hospitals across Alberta. Global News has also obtained internal memos showing the military's fire protocols and analysis of fire risk at the rural Alberta military training base at the time. "It's very difficult to provide advice on the merits of how the protocols which are in place ought to be amended, until we get the facts," McGuinty said. Nathaniel Dove has the latest.
