Nemuel Feurle Climbs 5.14cR Trad with Rhapsody - Gripped Climbing Magazine

Nemuel Feurle, 25, has repeated Rhapsody 5.14cR at Dumbarton Rock, Scotland. First climbed by Dave MacLeod in 2006, Rhapsody was the world’s first route graded E11 and remains one of trad climbing’s true test-piece lines. Sonnie Trotter made the second ascent in 2008, followed by the third ascent a few weeks later by Steve McClure. After a paragliding incident in Kyrgyzstan at the end of July forced a change of plans, Feurle found himself trading his original summer adventure for a climbing project at Dumbarton, joined by Lara Neumeier. Feurle started strongly, linking moves with confidence before fatigue began to take its toll. Despite finding more efficient resting positions, he repeatedly fell at the traverse, a demanding cross-move to the right.

Humans may not have the heart for space travel to Mars - The Brighter Side of News

Male rats exposed to simulated cosmic radiation had roughly twice as much collagen around heart blood vessels at long-term follow-up. Simulated weightlessness produced persistent changes in immune signaling, but combining the two stressors did not consistently worsen their effects. The findings raise questions for astronaut health, while small tissue samples, preliminary DNA results and compressed radiation delivery limit direct human predictions. Heart tissue examined nearly a year after simulated cosmic-radiation exposure carried a warning for long-distance space exploration. Male rats had accumulated roughly twice as much collagen around small coronary blood vessels as unexposed controls. The finding suggests that assessing radiation hazards requires attention to what happens long after exposure ends. The experiments were conducted on Earth, not during astronaut missions. They provide evidence about biological responses in a particular rat model, while leaving important questions about human risk unanswered. Meaning-Centered Therapy, Psychiatry Referrals, and Humanistic Cancer Care - CancerNetwork

Erik Bengtsen, MD, discussed meaning-centered therapy at the bedside, framing psychiatry referrals, and a more humanistic approach to care. Erik Bengtsen, MD, an assistant attending psychiatrist and assistant director of the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Training Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, discussed bedside meaning-centered therapy, how to frame a psychiatry referral, and what psycho-oncology has taught him to unlearn, in CancerNetwork’s® Ask Me Anything series. Bengtsen described meaning-centered psychotherapy, developed at Memorial Sloan Kettering by William Breitbart, MD, to address existential distress by helping patients identify sources of meaning, such as family, faith, community, the arts, or their legacy. At the bedside, he said, the manualized course is abbreviated and meets patients where they are. He also shared how he reframes referrals for patients who worry that a psychiatry consult implies they are “crazy,” focusing instead on sleep, recovery, energy, and the stress of treatment. Finally, he reflected on moving beyond the rigid boundaries of classical psychiatry training toward a more humanistic presence with patients and families.

I-124 Evuzamitide PET/CT Highly Sensitive, Specific in Amyloid Detection - HCPLive

Mathew Maurer, MD, discusses the results of the phase 3 REVEAL study, which highlighted this novel scanning technology’s capacity for identifying amyloidosis early. I-124 evuzamitide positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) scans are highly sensitive and specific for detecting cardiac amyloidosis, according to results from the REVEAL study.1 These data were presented at the Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA) Annual Scientific Meeting 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona, by Mathew Maurer, MD, the Arnold and Arlene Goldstein Professor of Cardiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons.1“We think that this could be a very useful way to not only diagnose amyloid but diagnose it in a more sensitive and potentially more specific manner than currently available imaging,” Maurer told HCPLive in an exclusive interview. “And, importantly, at a time when the patient doesn’t have advanced cardiac amyloid, when drug therapy is most effective.”REVEAL was a phase 3, open-label, multicenter study of I-124 evuzamitide as an imaging agent to diagnose cardiac amyloidosis.

Scientists keep five quantum bits accurate while running them all at once - Interesting Engineering

A quantum computer’s power depends not only on how many qubits it contains, but also on how accurately they can work together. Now, researchers have demonstrated a way to operate five silicon-based qubits simultaneously through a single microwave control line, maintaining operation accuracy at or above 99.9%. This approach could help make future quantum processors easier to scale without requiring a separate control line for every qubit.

11 Years Later, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Finally Nails Akira Toriyama's Original Vision

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is more than a fresh coat of paint on a familiar story I’ll be the first to admit I wasn’t particularly excited about Dragon Ball Super: Beerus. When the remake of Dragon Ball Super was first announced, I struggled to see the point of revisiting a story that had already been told once in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and then again in the original 2015 television run. Sure, the promise of refreshed animation was exciting, but it didn’t feel like that was enough to justify starting from scratch for a third time, especially when major manga milestones like the Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc and Moro have yet to receive their due on-screen. After seeing the world premiere of Beerus at New York Comic Con 2026, however, I’m happy to admit I was dead wrong. From the anime’s jaw-dropping opening sequence — one that feels more like a loving victory lap through franchise history than a standard OP — to the enhanced colors and smoother pacing, this series is already proving itself to be one of the most confident Dragon Ball TV adaptations we’ve seen in years.
