Advanced Sorbent Technology Selectively Extracts Lithium Chloride From Complex Brines - AZoCleantech
With support from U. S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratories, including Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Texas-based company Element3 has launched the first domestic lithium mining project in 50 years. This achievement is likely to have a big impact, turning the United States from a net importer of lithium to a country well on the path to greater energy independence, national security, and economic strength. The milestone, in February 2026, came less than a year after DOE launched the Minerals to Materials Supply Chain Research Facility, or METALLIC, in April 2025. The facility builds on DOE demonstration testbeds to speed technologies that strengthen the nation's supply chain of minerals critical to the technology, transportation, and defense industries. It provides experts and tools to de-risk development of these critical minerals technologies.
Technology, Farmers Take Center Stage in 2026 Fendt Harvest Tour - Precision Farming Dealer
AGCO is hitting the road with the 2026 Fendt Harvest Tour, an 11-stop tour that spans six states from Ohio to North Dakota and puts its most technologically advanced combine to work in real fields while celebrating the farmers who power the season. The Fendt Harvest Tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at real harvest conditions, results and the technology reshaping what’s possible in the field. At each stop, farmers will welcome Fendt’s IDEAL combine directly onto their fields, giving them a hands-on opportunity to see how a connected technology ecosystem is game changing. This year’s tour tells “Real Harvest Stories” in the fields of 11 farming families in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and North Dakota. At each location, farmers and their families will put the IDEAL combine to work in varied harvest conditions. The exclusive IDEALdrive joystick steering system gives operators clearer sightlines and less fatigue through long days in the cab. Its 485-bushel grain tank empties in just 81 seconds to keep crews moving through tight harvest windows, while IDEALharvest automation continuously adjusts settings to help protect grain quality from pass to pass.

Scott Technology Introduces NexPAL 200HL Compact Palletizer - Food Engineering Magazine
Scott Technology has launched the NexPAL 200HL, a compact, high-capacity palletizer developed to help manufacturers increase production capacity where floorspace is limited. Developed in response to customers, particularly across Europe and North America, seeking to add throughput capacity within existing production environments, the NexPAL 200HL delivers 35-plus cases per minute across a range of product formats and sizes, while occupying a footprint 25% smaller than most comparable palletizing solutions. “In many established manufacturing facilities, floorspace is at a premium and throughput is fundamental to the economics of the operation,” says Aaron Vanwalleghem, president of materials handling and logistics at Scott Technology. “If end-of-line palletizing can't keep pace with increased production upstream, it can become a bottleneck on the entire operation, hindering growth. Our customers are looking for ways to increase capacity with limited impact on their physical footprint. With the NexPAL 200HL, we focused on putting substantial palletizing capacity into a much smaller space without compromising performance.”

Technicians Do Not Resist Technology; They Resist Technology That Does Not Help Them - ACHR News
A survey of 181 commercial HVAC service technicians was conducted to test the widely held assumption that field technicians resist digital technology, and to identify what separates the technology they value from the technology they do not. The study found that willingness is not the constraint. It is high and does not vary with tenure: 78% say digital tools make their work easier, 96% want more training, and technicians with more than 10 years in the trade are no less receptive than those with fewer than three. Yet the typical technician reports that technology has helped as much as it has hurt—a net return of zero—and only one in seven works with both the information and the connectivity that deployed software assumes. Technicians consider technology useful when it helps them arrive at the job with key information, and when the technology shortens diagnosis. Technology that makes coordination easier (e.g., paperwork and dispatch, which represents the majority of current field technology) showed inconclusive results on its helpfulness or harm. FTL concludes that technicians benefit most from technology that helps them solve problems in the field.

Anthropic bans users from ‘needless abusive or cruel behavior’ towards Claude - The Guardian
Anthropic has barred users from exhibiting “sustained and needless abusive or cruel behavior” toward its models, as the company’s leaders continue to ponder machine consciousness. The Verge first reported the change in policy. A spokesperson for Anthropic, which is behind the AI chatbot Claude, did not immediately respond to an inquiry about what could be considered “abusive or cruel”. In an online user policy, the San Francisco-based company noted that its ban would not apply to common user frustrations, model testing or “dark creative themes”. Anthropic’s usage policy previously contained restrictions on abusive conduct. The company’s large language models have the ability to end a conversation if a user is being persistently harmful. When that feature rolled out last August, the company framed it as a safeguard for AI’s welfare. “We remain highly uncertain about the potential moral status of Claude and other LLMs, now or in the future. However, we take the issue seriously, and alongside our research program we’re working to identify and implement low-cost interventions to mitigate risks to model welfare, in case such welfare is possible.

Can Firan Technology Group (TSX:FTG) Stock Sustain Record Margins? - Simply Wall Street
Firan Technology Group charged into this earnings print with the stock already hot. The share price climbed roughly 60% over the past month and just under 30% in the last week, so expectations were stretched.
