Officials say 39 people were injured and taken to hospital, including 19 in critical condition, following a grass fire that broke out while soldiers were training at about 4 p.m. on Saturday. The four soldiers who were killed have been identified as: Sgt. Morgan Wong of Edmonton; Pte. Shaun Farrell of Prince Albert, Sask.; Pte. Aidan Goulding of North Vancouver; and Pte. Many people think the telltale signs of drug addiction include sweating and vomiting. But a prominent addiction medicine physician says the best signals aren’t always so visible. Dr. Yngvild Olsen says more accurate signs come from the brain, specifically the compulsion to keep using drugs, including opioids, despite damage to education, career and relationships.

Drew Rasmussen shines as Rays beat Guardians in Game 5 to take a 3-2 ALCS lead

CLEVELAND — Drew Rasmussen allowed one run over seven innings for his second postseason win, Tampa Bay’s offense kept on constant pressure and the Rays beat the Guardians, 3-1, Sunday night to take a 3-2 lead in the AL Championship Series. The Rays will try to capture their third AL pennant and first since 2020 on Monday at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. Since the ALCS expanded to seven games in 1985, road teams winning Game 5 for a 3-2 lead have won the series four of five times. Game 7 if needed would be Tuesday, and the World Series starts Friday at NL champion Milwaukee. Cleveland has not won an ALCS when trailing 3-2. Tampa Bay scored single runs in each of the first three innings, the first two off Parker Messick and the third against Tim Herrin. Rasmussen shut down the Guardians’ offense after allowing two runs over six innings in the opener. After Chase DeLauter’s two-out single in the first, the 31-year-old righthander retired nine straight batters and allowed only one other base runner through the sixth. Kansas City Chiefs star defensive lineman Chris Jones caught in screaming match with coaches on sidelines - Fox News

The Kansas City Chiefs are once again heading towards yet another AFC West division title and likely Super Bowl win, but you'd never know it by how their sideline looked on Sunday. The Chiefs hosted the 0-5 Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday afternoon, and the game pretty much went as expected. LA's hapless offense wasn't able to move the ball with any consistency and the Chiefs' offense imposed their will, outside two turnovers. One dead, 1 seriously injured in Stark, N.H. house fire, officials say

A man and two dogs are dead, and another person is seriously injured after a house caught fire in Stark, N. H., early Sunday morning, firefighters said. Just before 1:30 a.m., an adult female resident of 37 Montgomery Rd. reported a fire at the home to a neighbor, who called 911, State Fire Marshal Sean Toomey and Stark Fire Chief Colin Wentworth said in a statement. Dispatchers learned one person was still inside the home as flames spread, the statement said. A neighbor attempted to enter the burning home to rescue the remaining occupant, an adult man, but was unable to do so due to the growing fire. When firefighters arrived a few minutes later, “the house was fully involved, with flames coming out of the doors and windows,” the statement said. Firefighters later reported they were unable to immediately enter the home due to the worsening conditions, the statement said. After the fire was brought under control around 4:30 a.m., the adult man and two dogs were found dead inside the home, the statement said. The identity of the deceased man is being withheld pending an autopsy scheduled for Monday.
