Park Jin-young, founder of JYP Entertainment and co-chair of the Presidential Committee on Popular Culture Exchange, testifies as a sworn witness before the National Assembly’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee during its annual parliamentary audit in Seoul, Wednesday. YonhapPark Jin-young, JYP Entertainment's founder and co-chair of the Presidential Committee on Popular Culture Exchange, rejected allegations of preferential treatment involving his agency in preparations for a global K-culture festival during a parliamentary audit held at the National Assembly in Seoul, Wednesday. The high-stakes hearing focused on "Fanomenon," a multi-day K-pop festival and awards initiative scheduled for December next year. His agency, together with three other entertainment agencies, has been spearheading the project since early this year. The event is anticipated to draw more than 500,000 visitors, with an estimated economic impact approaching 1 trillion won ($735.8 million). However, critics argue the project only serves the interest of the entertainment companies.

Wes Craven didn’t want to do ‘uninspired’ “Scream 4”, according to franchise composer - Yahoo

Key PointsThe Scream composer says Wes Craven didn't want to do Scream 4. Marco Beltrami calls the installment "uninspired. "2011's Scream 4 is the lowest-grossing installment. There is one scary movie that the Scream composer definitely doesn't like. Marco Beltrami, who worked on the first four Screams and the recent seventh installment, has revealed that he doesn't believe that director Wes Craven wanted to return for 2011's "uninspired" Scream 4. "It was not a project I wanted to do," Beltrami told Deadline. "In fact, I'm not even sure Wes really wanted to do it. It was something that Dimension [Films] was really forcing. "He added, "The whole thing was, I have to say, uninspired. I think the movie, of all the first four, is the weakest. It's a shame, but it's the reality. "Wes CravenScream 4 arrived a decade after Scream 3, reuniting Craven, who directed the initial four movies, with Kevin Williamson, the writer behind Scream 1 and 2. Original stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette all returned, joined by a new group of possible killers and victims, including Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, and the late Hayden Panettiere, whose Kirby became a fan favorite.
