Wes Craven didn’t want to do ‘uninspired’ “Scream 4”, according to franchise composer - Yahoo

Key PointsThe Scream composer says Wes Craven didn't want to do Scream 4. Marco Beltrami calls the installment "uninspired. "2011's Scream 4 is the lowest-grossing installment. There is one scary movie that the Scream composer definitely doesn't like. Marco Beltrami, who worked on the first four Screams and the recent seventh installment, has revealed that he doesn't believe that director Wes Craven wanted to return for 2011's "uninspired" Scream 4. "It was not a project I wanted to do," Beltrami told Deadline. "In fact, I'm not even sure Wes really wanted to do it. It was something that Dimension [Films] was really forcing. "He added, "The whole thing was, I have to say, uninspired. I think the movie, of all the first four, is the weakest. It's a shame, but it's the reality. "Wes CravenScream 4 arrived a decade after Scream 3, reuniting Craven, who directed the initial four movies, with Kevin Williamson, the writer behind Scream 1 and 2. Original stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette all returned, joined by a new group of possible killers and victims, including Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, and the late Hayden Panettiere, whose Kirby became a fan favorite.

Skyler Gisondo knows he's having (another) viral moment right now — and he's playing along - Yahoo

If it feels like Skyler Gisondo is virtually everywhere, it's because he is. My colleague dubbed it "Skyler Gisondo Fall," and she couldn't be more correct: He was an absolute star in Primetime, the 2026 psychological thriller inspired by the To Catch a Predator TV series, in which he played Decoy Dan, a conflicted, struggling actor helping Chris Hansen (Robert Pattinson) lure predators. He's playing Henry Focker, the son of Greg Focker (Ben Stiller), in Focker-in-Law, the fourth installment in the Meet the Parents film series, out next month. His personal life is drawing attention too, as rumors that he and Sterling Point star Ella Rubin are dating continue to circulate. But Gisondo is currently internet famous for a reason entirely separate from his impressive roster of films and rumored relationship. A wholesome red carpet photo of him from 2015 is going viral — again! — for an oddly specific, truly nostalgic reason. Enter: the Skyler Gisondo meme (2026 edition). Let's go back to 2015OK, to understand the Skyler Gisondo meme is to understand the singular photo it revolves around.

‘Digger’ Review: Artificial Yet Intelligent - We Live Entertainment

The last time Tom Cruise, Hollywood’s Last Movie Star, collaborated with a bona fide auteur was in 2004: the director was Michael Mann, and the film was a love letter to nighttime Los Angeles, Collateral. Coincidentally, it’s also the last time Cruise starred as a villain. Twenty-two years later, with more makeup applied than when Tropic Thunder’s Les Grossman danced into future memes, Digger has finally arrived. The latest film from four-time Oscar winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu (The Revenant) is a masterpiece. Writing this after the film has already screened for critics and opened to most audiences, it’s clear Digger won’t be Cruise’s next blockbuster triumph, having earned mixed reviews and the star’s lowest opening weekend total since 1985’s Legend. And yet… from where this critic sits, the world may have gone as mad as the one in the film’s dystopian, depressed future. Time will tell, but to cut to the chase: with a ten-cent shovel in hand, this pairing of star and director has struck creative gold. Digger is the rare film which wisely uses the artifice of art to unearth truth about humanity in the most maximalist way ever committed to IMAX screens.

'The Social Reckoning' review: Aaron Sorkin's follow-up to 'The Social Network' is missing some key ingredients - Yahoo

The Social Network is one of the great films of the 2010s. Written by esteemed playwright and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, directed by auteur David Fincher and featuring an instantly iconic score from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the movie depicts the dawn of a new hyper-digital era. Years later, it maintains an eerie prescience. Given all that, it's not entirely fair to compare The Social Network to its new sequel, The Social Reckoning, which hits theaters Friday. But the movie's complete lack of visual style and embarrassingly generic score are, unfortunately, constant reminders that David Fincher and the Nine Inch Nails boys are nowhere to be found this time. Instead, the new movie is written and directed by Aaron Sorkin — and is a case study in the impact a talented director has on a film, even when the writer brings a lot to the table.

Valerie Bertinelli Reacts To Backlash Over Throwback Pic With Ex Eddie Van Halen - HuffPost

Valerie Bertinelli is shrugging off the criticism she received after paying tribute to her late ex-husband, musician Eddie Van Halen. The actor turned celebrity chef acknowledged the sixth anniversary of Van Halen’s death Tuesday by sharing a throwback photo on her social media platforms that showed the pair driving together on a highway. “Photos may fade, like old photos do, but not the memories and never the love,” she wrote in the caption. The snapshot, however, quickly divided Bertinelli’s followers, with some questioning why she’d reflect on Van Halen, who died in 2020 at age 65, so fondly. The couple ― who share a son, Wolfgang ― divorced in 2007 after about 26 years of marriage. “It’s weird you hold on to EDDIE, as if you two were a couple in the end. It’s just weird always talking about him as if he’s your identity …. STOP being that EX,” one person wrote on Instagram. Added another on Facebook: “Still playing the widow.” Later on Tuesday, Bertinelli posted a video on Instagram in which she defended her choice to share the photo and blasted the negative comments she’d received as “coercive control.” “You can’t tell me how I feel.
