Revolution Wind is already sending electricity to New England, and all 65 turbines are installed. Now the Trump administration is challenging the federal approval that allowed the offshore wind farm to be built. Again. Yes, really.
The Interior Department asked a federal court on October 9 to send the project’s construction and operations plan approval back to the agency for reconsideration. The request creates another hurdle for a 704-megawatt (MW) wind farm that’s already survived two Trump administration attempts to stop construction.
Your eyes do not deceive you, dear readers – the iconic, stainless-steel bodied and gullwing-doored sportscar brand DeLorean is not only somehow still alive, but they apparently have enough money to campaign a DeLorean-branded eVTOL in the new Airspeeder racing series.
As anyone following Tesla can already tell you, CEO Elon Musk is affected by the DeLorean time machine from the classic, Back to the Future movies from the 1980s – and a quick look at the Model X’ “falcon-wing” doors, the Cybertruck’s stainless steel finish, and obsessive pursuit of “hover” abilities for the long-delayed Tesla Roadster 2.0 will absolutely convince you if you had any doubts. It is perhaps ironic, then, that on this, the day the Tesla Roadster 2.0’s hovering technology is expected to make its debut (like, for real this time), that we’re talking about a high tech, electric, and wicked fast stainless steel-finished vehicle wearing the DeLorean nameplate.
There’s no shortage of car racing video games these days. From open-world hooning in Forza Horizon to the hyper-realistic iRacing community, car-based video games are, technically speaking, better than ever. But a new rally game aims to bring some whimsy back into the mix. Officially known as Left! Left! Left!, the two-player asymmetrical co-op rally game is set for a public test next Friday, October 23, on Steam from developer Stellux Interactive. In the game, one player drives a sloppy hatchback with almost no idea of where the road is going, while the other navigates from a physical tablet. There aren’t adjustable driving settings or upgradable cars, and the game isn’t chock-full of fancy graphics, either. Instead, this game showcases the chaos inside a rally car. “I’ve always loved making games and creating experiences for people. Co-op games have gotten huge lately, so I wanted to try building one myself. I’m also a big motorsport fan—Formula 1, rally, MotoGP—just as a hobby, not as a career,” Patrik Plaňanský of Stellux Interactive said to Road & Track. “Putting those two things together felt natural: a co-op game built around racing.
10/14/26 UPDATE: This review has been updated with instrumented test results. Mercedes-Benz is putting a stamp on its latest model in the form of an enormous grille. Never mind that this sucker is electric and doesn’t really need a gaping maw for the usual reasons; the GLC400 4Matic Electric proudly wears one just the same. The GLC400’s piehole harks back to 1959’s Mercedes-Benz W111, right down to the fine detailing, which in this case is an available matrix of small LEDs that light up in a startup sequence. It sounds corny, but the grille looks fantastic. There’s always room for a little flamboyance. The rest of the GLC400 Electric (Benz finally ditched the “with EQ Technology” balderdash) flows back from this bit of rhinoplasty in a way that looks sleek. There are three-pointed DRLs in the headlights and power bulges on the hood. The roof arcs back and tapers down in somewhat of a teardrop shape, yet the front- and rear-seat passengers have ample head- and legroom far exceeding that of gas-powered GLC SUVs, even though the EV stands a measly 0.1 inch taller.
Marc Urbano|Car and DriverThe optional Hyperscreen is definitely the party piece, as it is one very large screen instead of three of them stitched together under one piece of glass. Marc Urbano|Car and DriverThe seats are mighty comfortable and can be covered with nappa leather or a true vegan-certified interior, if you wish. The winter equipment experts at Prinoth are partnering with Swedish trucking group SCANIA on a pair of new, battery-electric snow groomers that are ready to hit Europe’s ski slopes with up to 624 kWh of battery power all winter long.
You read that right. Scania will provide Prinoth with its in-house Core 800 li-ion battery system – a 691V solution that includes integrated liquid cooling and a proprietary charging management system that’s built around energy-dense battery packs that are meant to be modular and scalable from just 21 kWh all the way up to a whopping 624 kWh. More than enough, in other words, to keep carving fresh corduroy long after the lifts start spinning.
With the end of IMSA’s 2026 season, we have thoughts about the future of the sport.
BMW, Porsche, Cadillac, and Aston Martin are among the OEMs that build endurance racing prototypes.
A sequel to Days of Thunder is coming, complete with the return of original lead Tom Cruise. The long-time movie star is famous for his commitment to doing his own stunts, and doing them as realistically as possible, so it comes as no shock to find out that he wants to drive a race car or two for the movie. What might be more shocking is that he, apparently, asked about actually running a professional race. NASCAR CEO Steve O’Donnell said in a recent interview with Front Office Sports that was brought to broader attention by Jalopnik that Cruise told him that he “wanted to go race” in an ARCA event. The ask would have put Cruise, 64, directly up against competitors in NASCAR’s fourth tier of national-level competition. While Cruise has some past racing experience, he has never competed at any level of NASCAR competition. His ARCA debut would be one of the most compelling stunts of his career, even if it never actually made its way into any movie. O’Donnell says that he’s “not sure that’s going to happen,” but he stopped short of directly declaring that Cruise would not be able to race in the division at some point.
Orange is the new green at the University of Tennessee, which deployed a new McNeilus Volterra ZFL electric garbage truck at its Knoxville campus this week, bringing together advanced, battery-electric waste collection technology and Made-in-Tennessee manufacturing.
Campus garbage and recycling routes are a nearly ideal use case for electrification, combining frequent stopping and starting, low operating speeds under heavy loads, significant pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and a noise-sensitive (read: hungover) populace.

Production issues with the electric Volvo EX60 have pushed most U. S. shipments to late 2027, according to a report from Automotive News. Volvo’s new megacasting and cell-to-body construction methods have been more complex than expected, reportedly dropping vehicle output to just one-tenth of the original goal. A few EX60s have already reached the U. S., but dealers aren’t expecting a substantial volume until the second half of 2027. By 2030, Volvo is aiming for 200,000 annual U. S. retail sales, but a production issue with its most promising new model could make that goal a bit harder to reach. The EX60, which Volvo expects to do well in the saturated U. S. luxury EV SUV market, is experiencing production delays that will halt most shipments to the U. S. until late 2027, according to a report from Automotive News. The EX60 slots in as the EV counterpart to the popular XC60, which became Volvo’s bestselling vehicle of all time in 2025. While the combustion-powered SUV continues to be a hit, the EX60 is more of a gamble, especially considering Volvo recently killed the smaller EX40 EV in the U. S. due to low demand.

Helping a relative get out of jail, presumably, often comes with some hope that said relative’s circumstances will improve from there. According to authorities in Iowa, one family member instead found themselves almost immediately on the receiving end of another alleged crime, as the teenage relative they helped release is now accused of stealing their Chevrolet Corvette. One day after posting bond, he was headed back to jail following what authorities describe as a pursuit that exceeded 140 miles per hour. The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office says Braiden Billings, 18, of Newton, Iowa had been placed in jail on an assault charge before a family member posted his bond on October 11. The very next day, at around 5:00 p.m., that same family member reported their very own 2007 Chevy Corvette as stolen. Just under three hours later, police spotted the sports car traveling west on I-80 near mile marker 150—about 15 minutes from where the car initially was before the alleged theft. A deputy tried to stop the car shortly thereafter, but whatever chance there was to calmly manage a roadside stop turned into what police say was a 140-mph pursuit.
