It may be hard to believe, given all the Call of Duty: Modern 4 pre-launch community drama and the beta's lower-than-expected numbers on PC, but the final game may have turned things around - so far, at least.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Player Reveals How They Beat the Campaign on One-Life YOLO Difficulty
One Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 campaign player has already finished YOLO mode, an ultra hard setting with realistic damage, where you go right back to the start when you die. Unlocked once you’ve completed the campaign on any difficulty, YOLO mode is the real test of your COD skills. Warning! Spoilers for the Modern Warfare 4 campaign follow:The player, Lost-Equivalent2352 on Reddit, said they managed to beat YOLO mode by taking advantage of their AI allies. “My technique was staying behind a wall for several minutes so that my dumb allies shoot at the enemies,” they said. They would also use flashbangs and grenades to mop up the stragglers, limiting the chance the enemies could one-shot them. It took them around 20 hours to finish the successful run. According to Lost-Equivalent2352, one of the toughest elements of the run was the mission “Retreat.” The nighttime mission charts the fall of Hajin, covering the tactical withdrawal of South Korean troops. Because it takes place during a full-scale invasion, bullets are flying everywhere and civilians are running for cover.

Tom Cruise's 10/10 War Action Epic Is About to Say Goodbye to HBO Max
Watch this classic war movie before it leaves HBO Max at the end of October Tom Cruise has built a career out of playing larger-than-life characters, but some of his best performances are when he delves into the more vulnerable people beneath the movie-star bravado. Days of Thunder filters the story of a hotshot NASCAR driver through the humbling process of learning to trust someone, while Jerry Maguire finds a sports agent in the throes of learning that success means little without genuine human connection. Even Tropic Thunder, for all its outrageous comedy, gives Cruise room to disappear into a grotesque Hollywood executive whose insecurities are as ridiculous as his explosive temper. And Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Digger gives Cruise one of his most fascinating character studies yet as an oil tycoon with a brazen plan to save the world.

Netflix's Sci-Fi Cyberpunk Sleeper Hit Becomes a True Masterpiece in Stellar New Season
An extraordinary ensemble and dazzling animation give the Netflix sequel a warmer, more hopeful heart Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 finds something worth living for in Night City

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II: The Kotaku Review
The first season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is filled with memorable moments that serve as the foundation to its story, moments that make the whole season feel like a kind of brutal, heartbreaking symphony in which every thread and refrain serves a purpose, all coming together in ways that make each element resonate with more power than it ever could on its own., It’s almost as ifStudio Trigger and CD Projekt Red knew they had to hit these incredible narrative highs and worked backwards from them, ensuring that every minute detail of its 10-episode run cleanly paved the way to its most memorable setpieces. I’m thinking of scenes like Edgerunners’ protagonist David Martinez watching his mentor Maine succumb to cyberpsychosis as Trigger depicts David’s immediate, gut-wrenching grief in the most visually disturbing way with a few seconds of detailed animation, as well as the final moments in which netrunner Lucy, having dreamt of going to the moon for her entire life, finally makes it because of her lover’s actions. These only hit because Edgerunners uses every frame of animation to earn them.

The Best 'Peanuts' Great Pumpkin Comic Strip Came Out 2 Years Before the Famous TV Special
In 1966, CBS debuted the now-classic television special, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. In it, all the kids in the Peanuts gang take part in typical Halloween activities, including trick-or-treating and pumpkin-carving — except for Linus. Instead, Linus is preparing for the arrival of a mythical being known as the “Great Pumpkin.” As Linus explains, “Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere,” then he distributes toys to the children waiting for him. Linus spends the special writing letters to the Great Pumpkin and trying to convince others of its existence. Then he spends Halloween night in a pumpkin patch, awaiting the Great Pumpkin’s arrival. Of course, the Great Pumpkin never emerges, but Linus still vows to wait again next year. To the casual Peanuts fan, that may be all they ever know of Linus and the Great Pumpkin, but dedicated readers of the Peanuts comic strip know there’s much, much more to the story. The Great Pumpkin was first mentioned in a Peanuts comic on Oct. 26, 1959.
