Description

Two people were killed in separate crashes on Ottawa roads on Wednesday night, pushing the city's traffic death toll to 32 this year. CTV's Katelyn Wilson reports that a 71-year-old woman was struck and killed by a 19-year-old driver on Greenbank Road in Barrhaven shortly before 6:30 p.m. Just two hours later, a 79-year-old man was killed in a crash in the city's east end involving two cars, one of which was towing farm equipment. Ottawa Safety Council program director Kelly Banks warned that early darkness and careless driving contribute to collisions, urging drivers to slow down and pedestrians to wear reflective clothing.
