Description

“We’re often surrounded by systems that see us, but we rarely see them”—Trevor Paglen. Explore the artistic practice of Trevor Paglen, recipient of the 2026 LG Guggenheim Award. In March 2026, Paglen received the LG Guggenheim Award recognizing visionary artists whose practices push the boundaries between art and technology. Paglen's work makes visible the hidden infrastructures of digital systems, examining surveillance, artificial intelligence, photography, and the unseen networks that shape contemporary life. By investigating how machine-generated images are created and how technologies influence perception, his practice encourages us to question the systems that increasingly define our understanding of the world. The LG Guggenheim Award and The LG Guggenheim Art and Technology Initiative are made possible by LG @LGSTORY.
