Fedde has made one appearance this postseason, striking out three over two scoreless innings during the AL Wild Card Series clincher against the Astros. Hannah Waddingham's Early Career Included A Role On Another Sports-Themed Show - TVLine

Hannah Waddingham is one of the most recognizable stars in the world right now, thanks largely to her breakout role as Rebecca Welton on the Apple TV hit "Ted Lasso. " Waddingham has brilliantly played Rebecca as her arc took her from A. F. C. Richmond owner trying to sabotage her own team, to a passionate defender and supporter of the club. While she'll likely always be connected to this soccer show (or football if you're anywhere that's not America), one of her earliest roles was on another well-received sports series. "Footballers' Wives" was a British drama about a soccer club, its players, and their wives. In a way, it was similar to "Ted Lasso," albeit without the Jason Sudeikis witticisms and with far more dramatic plot points. In Hannah Waddingham's lone appearance in the fourth season, she played Jools, a tennis player who was being represented by Hazel, the show's tough-talking agent. Season 4, Episode 9 marked Hazel's last appearance on the show, but she and Jools end up romantically involved with each other.

With conversation of restricting international players, including Canadians, from NCAA women's hockey, and all NCAA sports, coaches, players and programs are watching U SPORTS more closely than ever. This week, several U SPORTS programs are playing preseason exhibition games against NCAA teams, while U SPORTS teams themselves continue to gear up for the 2026-27 season north of the border as well. This season, 16 players are transferring from NCAA Division 1 hockey to U SPORTS women's hockey teams. While the list doesn't feature many notable names, perhaps aside from former U-18 Canadian national team standout Reese Logan who struggled in her first two NCAA seasons, this year's transfer group is just the tip of an iceberg that could be multiplied significantly next summer. This season there are 1140 players named on the NCAA's 45 women's hockey team rosters. It's a group that includes 400 Canadians.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. may have played his final game in a New York Yankees uniform, and if Wednesday night’s season-ending loss to the Tampa Bay Rays was his farewell, it certainly wasn’t the ending he envisioned. The Yankees second baseman found himself on the bench for Game 3 of the American League Division Series after…

UK sport tickets: Price increases analysed for the Ashes, Wimbledon, Silverstone and more - BBC

Ticket rises and more TV packages - why is price of sport increasing? Image source, Getty ImagesImage caption, The price of attending and watching sport in the UK is coming under significant scrutinyByDaniel AustinBBC Sport senior journalistAt least £115 to watch a day of the Ashes in Birmingham - unless you are an Edgbaston member. A minimum of £255 for a standard seat at the Wimbledon singles finals. Prices starting from £289 for general admission to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on raceday. Those are the ticket fees British sports fans have been told a single adult must pay if they want to attend some of the country's most beloved sports events in 2027. The cost of entry to elite sport in the UK has risen sharply in the 2020s, but attendances across the majority of sports are as strong as ever. Even for armchair fans watching at home, the breadth and expense of television subscriptions can be a barrier to accessing sport. So what exactly is behind the rise in prices, can the increases possibly be justified and what does it all mean for fans? In a new BBC Radio 5 Live programme - The Price of Our Sport - BBC Sport has taken a look.

Philly Sports Is My Blended Family’s Love Language - Philadelphia Magazine

Larry Smith inherited his love of Philly sports from his parents. Now, in a family of five, he’s watching that love take on a whole new meaning. Philly sports are a family affair. / Photographs courtesy of Larry SmithOn a September night in 2023, the 13-year-old in my house had a question: “Is this the Super Bowl?” My son and I were doing what Philadelphia sports fans do when our team is playing: inhaling pretzels and popcorn and beer and soda and cheering and screaming like it was the most important event of our lives. It was actually game two of the 17-game football season, but to the 13-year-old (called Bean), who at the time didn’t know a Philadelphia Eagle from a Philly cheesesteak, the world my son and I inhabited during a Thursday night football game was a strange, new universe. Four months earlier, Bean, their older sister, Leela, 15, my son, Lukas, 12, and my partner, Melanie, had entered that universe together as a blended family. The kids weren’t exactly strangers — Melanie and I had been dating for a few years.

DAZN Grows Sports Footprint as It Acquires Local Rights - Front Office Sports

DAZN is actively on the hunt for even more pro team local media rights, bringing additional emphasis to one of the most unlikely stories this year across sports media. In the last six months, the London-based streamer has acquired local rights to 19 teams across MLB, the NBA, NHL, and WNBA, a collection that includes some smaller-market clubs such as the Grizzlies and Pacers, but also dominant and popular teams such as the defending NBA champion Knicks and runner-up Spurs, and the Yankees.

PFT’s Week 5 2026 NFL picks - NBC Sports

I’ve got a problem when it comes to guessing who’ll win the standalone games. Basically, I currently suck. For the games that had the stage to themselves in Week 4, I was 0-4. Fortunately, I was otherwise 10-2. And a final result of 10-6 is better than the Week 3 mark of 8-8. But every week is a clean slate. A new opportunity to turn 0-0 into something that isn’t embarrassing. For the year, I’m 37-27. Which is good, but far from great. At least it’s not horrible, which is mainly what I’m trying to avoid. The best pick for Week 4 was the 49ers over the Broncos. Worst pick: Lions over Panthers. Flew too close to the sun on wings of pastrami pick: Saints over Falcons. My seat-of-the-pants prognostications for all 15 of the Week 5 appear below, one wild-ass guess at a time. (The Panthers and Chiefs are off, as the bye weeks begin.)Buccaneers at Cowboys (Thursday night)Could undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels make a big splash in prime time? Yes, especially if the Cowboys take the Buccaneers too lightly. Every Tampa loss has come in a one-score game. If the Bucs can withstand the early onslaught, they have a chance.
