Patriots put WR Mack Hollins on injured reserve - NBC Sports

The Patriots could get A. J. Brown back soon, but they’ll be without wide receiver Mack Hollins for at least the next four games. Hollins was placed on injured reserve Saturday due to the calf injury he suffered in the second half of last Sunday’s win over the Bills. He was ruled out for this weekend’s game against the Raiders on Friday. Romeo Doubs, Efton Chism, Pop Douglas, and Kyle Williams are the remaining wideouts on the 53-man roster. Brown could be activated as soon as Week 6 as the Raiders game will be the fourth he misses with an ankle injury. The Patriots also placed fullback Reggie Gilliam (ankle, knee) on injured reserve. Special teamer Brenden Schooler was activated from the non-football injury list and cornerback Kindle Vildor was signed off the practice squad to fill the openings on the 53-man roster. The Patriots elevated linebacker K. J. Britt and safety Elliott Davison from the practice squad to round out the day’s moves.

Brewers tab Jacob Misiorowski for NLCS Game 1 - NBC Sports

Jacob Misiorowski will start Game 1 of the NLCS against the Dodgers on Sunday. Misiorowski will square off against Dodgers trade deadline acquisition Tarik Skubal, who was reportedly pursued by the Brewers prior to the deal with Los Angeles, to kick off the best-of-seven opener in Milwaukee. Logan Henderson will start Game 2, and the plan is for Robert Gasser to get the nod in Game 3. There are plenty of narratives here, but the most compelling to monitor is whether Misiorowski can go shut down Los Angeles’ star-studded lineup multiple times to help lead the Brewers to the Fall Classic for the first time since 1982. The hard-throwing 24-year-old allowed two runs over four innings during his playoff debut against the Padres last weekend.

Meet the three men reviving beloved ‘Sports Page’ in an all-new format - Canucks Army

For nearly three decades, Sports Page shaped how British Columbians experienced local sports. And as of next week, the iconic institution is returning, albeit in an entirely different format. The iconic BC-based sports highlights television program that helped kickstart the careers of broadcasters such as Don Taylor, John Shorthouse, Blake Price, and many others went off the air in 2005. Another of those broadcasters was Scott Rintoul, who is part of a group of three individuals championing the effort to revive Sports Page with a modern approach. The “new Sports Page” officially launches next week, on October 14th, and its website is sportspagebc.ca. To start, the website will feature some original content but will focus more on amplifying stories already being told across the province. “We’re going to have original content, and that’s going to be modest to start,” said Rintoul. “That’s the hard part for me, is that I love seeing the groundswell of support because of the nostalgia that comes with the play on the name [Sports Page]. But it’s not going to be that at the beginning.
