Kessler (finger) was a full participant in Sunday's practice, Law Murray of The Athletic reports. Kessler has yet to suit up in the preseason after jamming his finger during training camp, though the injury isn't viewed as a long-term concern. The big man can be considered questionable for Tuesday's exhibition against the Warriors until the Lakers provide an update on his status.

The Portuguese coach was reportedly furious after the game against Villarreal and decided to not talk with the media
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho didn't speak to the media after the game against Villarreal on Saturday as he wanted to "avoid a possible suspension," according to multiple reports. Mourinho, known for his character on and off the pitch, was furious in the second half after VAR decided to call the referee to the monitor and call off the goal scored by Brazilian striker Vinicius Jr., who was also sent off by the referee as VAR review showed he had pulled Nathan Saliba's hair before scoring. Mourinho, who rejoined Real Madrid as coach in the summer, didn't take part in the media activities and didn't attend the usual post-match press conference at the Bernabeu, following Real Madrid's 1-0 win against Villarreal thanks to the goal of Yan Diomande. After the game, Vinicius Jr. apologized to fans and his teammates as he posted on Instagram. "Sorry to the team and the fans," he said.
Staal will be out for 1-2 months after sustaining a torn calf muscle, Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News reports Tuesday. Staal went pointless through the first six games of the season before missing Sunday's matchup with the Flyers. Even with his offense drying up, the 38-year-old center remains a key piece of the Canes' roster and figures to retake his third-line role once he is cleared to play. In the meantime, Mark Jankowski should be expected to take on a bigger role, including with the No. 2 power-play unit.

Pete Prisco reveals all of his Week 5 picks, including the Texans getting their first win and the Jets over the Browns
So much for starting October the right way. My picks stunk last week. I was OK straight up, going 9-7, but the late-game shenanigans cost me a chance at a decent week against the spread. I went 4-11-1 ATS last week as many back-door covers got me. My straight-up record for the season is 38-26-0 and my ATS record is a dismal 25-37-2. How can I be that bad? No time for sulking. It's time to turn it around and this week I think I have a chance to move closer to .500 for the season. Then we can build on things from there. Let's go. They will limit the Eagles' offense in this one. The Jaguars go to 4-1.
