Pete Prisco reveals all of his Week 5 picks, including the Texans getting their first win and the Jets over the Browns

So much for starting October the right way. My picks stunk last week. I was OK straight up, going 9-7, but the late-game shenanigans cost me a chance at a decent week against the spread. I went 4-11-1 ATS last week as many back-door covers got me. My straight-up record for the season is 38-26-0 and my ATS record is a dismal 25-37-2. How can I be that bad? No time for sulking. It's time to turn it around and this week I think I have a chance to move closer to .500 for the season. Then we can build on things from there. Let's go. Then, right tackle Lane Johnson retired on Tuesday. They have so many key players out, which has to help the Jaguars. The Jaguars are second in scoring defense and have stopped the run all year long. They will limit the Eagles' offense in this one. The Jaguars go to 4-1.

Packers’ Jacobs eligible to return next week amid probe - TSN

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Packers running back Josh Jacobs will be removed from the commissioner exempt list Monday, the league announced, making him eligible to practice and play next week. The league's investigation into Jacobs under the personal conduct policy remains ongoing, however, leaving open the possibility that he could still be suspended. When he comes off the list next week, Jacobs will have missed the first six games of the season, and those games would count toward any suspension. However, if Jacobs ends up getting suspended for more than six games, he will have to miss additional games to make up the difference. After playing the Cowboys this Sunday at Lambeau Field, the Packers will visit the Lions on Oct. 25. "Josh has dedicated the last several months to bettering himself, and he accepts responsibility for his actions," Jacobs' attorneys, Clarence F. Duchac III, David Z. Chesnoff and Richard A. Schonfeld, said in a statement. "He is excited to get back to work and on the field with his teammates. Josh is grateful for the support he is receiving from his teammates, coaches, the Packers organization, and the greatest fans in the world.
