George Clooney not ready to talk about Presley Gerber's death - Central Oregon Daily

George Clooney has addressed the death of a close family friend, Presley Gerber. The son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber died at 27 in a rehabilitation center on Sept. 20 in Simi Valley, California, about 40 miles west of Los Angeles. At the 2026 Albies awards ceremony in the United Kingdom on Oct. 9, the "Ocean's Eleven" actor was asked how the family hoped to honor Gerber's legacy. "I don't think we're even in the position of being able to talk about it," Clooney told Entertainment Tonight at the Natural History Museum in London alongside Amal Clooney. "Quite honestly, it's one of the most devastating things that's happened to our family. "He continued: "And their family is just, as you can imagine. It's the worst thing that could ever happen to a family. "The Clooneys' friendship with the Gerber family spans decades. George and Rande co-founded their ultra-premium tequila and mezcal brand, Casamigos Tequila, in 2013 with Michael Meldman. The trio sold the company in 2017. In March, Clooney, Gerber, along with Mike Meldman, founder of Discovery Land Company, launched the non-alcoholic beer brand Crazy Mountain. How did Presley Gerber die?

PREVIEW: Ulysses Owens Jr. and Generation Y come to Tanglewood Oct. 16 - The Berkshire Edge

Lenox — For three-time Grammy Award-winning drummer Ulysses Owens Jr., jazz is more than music. It is a means of connecting generations, confronting social injustice, and preserving cultural traditions. Those convictions inform his work with Generation Y, an ensemble of rising jazz musicians that reflects his belief in the power of mentorship and continual artistic growth. Owens returns to Tanglewood’s Linde Center for Music and Learning at 7 p.m. on October 16 with the group, whose album “A New Beat” represents what Owens calls “a new wave and dimension of my career.” Owens is also a bandleader, composer, producer, and educator. Born in Orange Park, Fla., he began playing drums in church before studying jazz at Juilliard. Influenced by Art Blakey and Max Roach, Owens has performed with Christian McBride, Kurt Elling, and Wynton Marsalis. He founded Generation Y in 2019 to showcase emerging musicians, releasing “A New Beat” in 2024. His latest album, “Kind of Grunge,” released in August 2026, reimagines music by Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and other rock bands through jazz. Owens also teaches at Juilliard and The New School.

Forced Entertainment: Cold Sweat – Southbank Centre, London - The Reviews Hub

Cold Sweat, performed by Forced Entertainment, is drastic, comical and absurd. Yet, the Sheffield-based company known for its mission of playing with possibilities in theatre and performance somehow manages to use the oddity of it all to create a subtle exploration of AI in our lives. The performance, which debuted in 2025, follows a similar format to their 2024 show Signal to Noise, where the artists lip-sync to AI voices speaking Tim Etchells’ wacky texts. The guise of a story lies in the setting: a room strewn with tinsel, discarded paper cups, boxes, overturned tables and blow-up furniture. The three cast members (Richard Lowdon, Claire Marshall and Terry O’Connor) each arrive wearing a different coloured ruffled wig, and we watch them pick up the tables and set out bottles of alcohol, preparing or cleaning up a party of sorts.
