Quote Of The Day By Morgan Freeman: 'If You Can Get Out Of Bed And...' - TVLine
Pursuing your dreams takes time, and Morgan Freeman had to wait until his golden years to make his acting aspirations a reality. The actor, who's starred in Hollywood classics like "The Shawshank Redemption," "The Dark Knight" trilogy, and "Million Dollar Baby" (the latter led to his Oscar win), only rose to prominence when he was 50. Freeman served in the U. S. Air Force as a mechanic, and pivoted to acting when he realized that flying wasn't his ultimate goal. Although his path to the big screen wasn't overnight, he was already taking steps toward acting in his youth. In the '50s, he moved to Los Angeles to hone his performing arts skills at the City College, and a few years later, Freeman was making strides on Broadway. Yet, the recognition for his work on film only came in 1987, when he starred in "Street Smart" and earned his first Academy Award nomination.

Rebel Wilson secures another Australian court win as co-producers of The Deb awarded just $10 - The Guardian
Rebel Wilson has been ordered to pay A$10 (US$7, £5) in damages after emerging victorious from a bitter legal spat with her latest film’s co-producers. The Pitch Perfect star directed, co-produced and starred in The Deb, a musical comedy that became the battleground for multiple legal battles in Australia and the US. Filmed on a $22m budget, The Deb made just $335,000 (US$235,000, £175,284) at the local box office and is yet to screen outside Oceania. Wilson’s co-producers allege that shortfall could be traced to her false and derogatory statements about them online. The Bridesmaids star claimed in July 2024 that producers Amanda Ghost, Gregor Cameron and Vince Holden tried to block The Deb’s release, embezzled money, and behaved inappropriately towards the film’s star, Charlotte MacInnes. The producers alleged Wilson caused their company financial and reputational damage in an attempt to devalue her debut film so she could buy it from them. On Friday, Justice Elisabeth Peden awarded the trio a mere $10 in damages and otherwise dismissed the summons in the New South Wales supreme court.

The Traitors Recap: Did #Fruitgate Serve Up The Season's First Banished Traitor? - TVLine
Who knew a simple piece of fruit could be as deadly as Lisa Rinna's sparkly amulet? When Thursday's "The Traitors" kicks off, #fruitgate is still top of mind for Victor and the traitors, themselves. In the turret, Victor's the main topic of discussion, but Tomica, Joe, and Katie all know that killing Vic now would bring far too much heat on them. So they do what any willing and able troupe of traitors must do: Feed into the chaos by choosing to off the most faithful faithful there is! The short list: Mark, Wyatt, and Kriste. Unfortunately for Mark, he's had his last share of Scottish smoked salmon, and is the next to have his photo smashed to smithereens by Mr. Alan Cumming. Oh, well!
