GTA 6 Cyberleek update: Leaker linked GTA 6 reveals to crypto play. It’s crashing spectacularly. - Mashable
As Mashable and our colleagues at PCMag just reported, Grand Theft Auto VI leakers Cyberleek have seemingly abandoned their threats to leak a full build of the game – at least for now. Why? Because the leakers had claimed that the release of the leaked build was tied to their memecoin. If GTA 6 fans pumped Cyberleek's cryptocurrency, they would receive the leaked game build as a reward. That play failed spectacularly for Cyberleek. In fact, it seems to have fully backfired. The Cyberleek memecoin's market cap hit a high of $7.8 million on October 11, shortly after the leakers claimed they would release the full build of GTA 6 supposedly in their possession. The catch? The Cyberleek memecoin had to hit a market cap of $30 million first.

Iga Swiatek: Six-time Grand Slam champion ends 2026 season after failing to qualify for WTA Finals - BBC
Six-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek has called an early finish to what she described as "one of the most challenging" seasons of her career. Poland's Swiatek failed to qualify for the end-of-season WTA Finals - for the first time since 2019 - after pulling out of the Ningbo Open on Tuesday with a thigh injury. Shortly afterwards, the 25-year-old announced she was bringing a largely barren season to a close, in order to recharge over a longer period of time before returning in 2027. Former long-time world number one Swiatek - who has ended a season without a Grand Slam title for the first time since 2021 - has dropped to ninth in the rankings. "The past few months, or actually the past couple of years, have been incredibly intense," said Swiatek, who will have an opportunity to complete the career Grand Slam at the Australian Open in January. "I feel I need to rest and recover my body fully, so that's exactly what I will do - [for] a bit longer this time. "Her most recent Grand Slam triumph came at Wimbledon last year. Swiatek has managed one WTA title this season - the Canadian Open in August - and ends 2026 with a 42-16 win-loss record.

‘Freer’ Red Roses resolve to come back stronger after Canada end epic run - The Guardian
England’s glittering unbeaten era is over. Canada defeated the Red Roses to deal them a first defeat in four years after 40 wins and one draw. It was a landmark result for the Canadians, who will look to replicate the outcome this weekend when the two nations meet again. England must reset but they won’t panic; the Red Roses have been the standard bearers for the past seven years, which is why they have lost only twice in 73 matches. But while no team would ever aim to lose, falling to defeat is a good thing for England and the wider sport. Losing could actually make England a deadlier team to face. That is because they now need to find another level to their game with teams beginning to figure out ways to beat them. They have been pushed over the past few years by teams such as Canada, New Zealand and France, but they always had just enough to get the result over the line. Now they have been presented with a new challenge and John Mitchell, who lost his first game as Red Roses head coach, said post-defeat when his side “gets a setback, it generally learns quicker”. It is not just tactically and physically that the Red Roses may grow, but the mentality of the group may also shift.
