Raptors vs. Pistons: Allen Graves makes his case - Raptors Republic

The Raptors rely on generation second-chance points to churn their offense. It’s one of the foundational pillars of a good offense, basically, in the modern NBA. Allen Graves is going to help them excel at that this season. Graves played his second pre-season game for the Raptors tonight, and seven of his eight rebounds were on the offensive side of the ball. He scored on most of them, too! It’s clear, after these two games, that his skillset as a rebounder is his day-one contribution on this Raptors team. Alijah Martin, Nimari Burnett, Malachi Smith, Tyson Degenhart and Tyreke Key all showed out in the Raptors final pre-season game versus the 401 rivals, the Detroit Pistons, who played their entire rotation for the first half of the game. In this episode, I break down how Graves gets to his rebounds, why Burnett and Nate Bittle are my picks for the final two-way spot for the Raptors, and Alijah Martin getting it done. I’m excited for the 905 season after this game! Go get that chip!

Jackson-Davis has 23 points in Raptors’ loss to Pistons to end preseason - TSN

Published: October 16, 2026 at 10:16p.m. EDTDETROIT — Trayce Jackson-Davis led all scorers with 23 points — including 15 made free throws — but the Toronto Raptors still fell to the Detroit Pistons 129-125 on Friday in the final pre-season game for both teams. Jackson-Davis also had three rebounds and a steal as Toronto (2-3) didn’t put any of its top rotation players in the game. Nimari Burnett had 17 points and five boards for the Raptors, while rookie Allen Gaves added nine points but pulled down eight rebounds. Cade Cunningham had 18 points and seven assists to lead Detroit (3-1) and Jalen Duren had 14 points and three rebounds. Both of them played limited minutes as the Pistons had 18 different players enter the game. Toronto hosts the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday in their regular-season home opener. Gameday: Raptors @ Pistons, October 16th - Raptors Republic

The Toronto Raptors will play their final preseason game against the Detroit Pistons tonight, and we will not see them suit up again until their season begins on October 21st against the Chicago Bulls. Toronto’s preseason has been full of exciting moments over their last two games, and has given the Raptor faithful plenty to be excited about as the season rapidly approaches. With this being the second leg of a back-to-back it remains to be seen if Toronto’s starters will suit up again, but if they don’t it will give the younger players on the roster a chance for some extended minutes. Raptors OutlookRecord: 2-2Offensive Rating: 116.2 (6th)Raptors previous results: New York Knicks vs Toronto Raptors  – 120 – 122 LToronto’s offense during this preseason has looked potent and refined and it has been easy to see the benefits that adding Kawhi Leonard has brought and he has been fully bought into the movement system that Darko Rajakovic has built. Scottie Barnes has looked comfortable as well in this offense and he and Leonard have shown that they can coexist on the floor together in their limited minutes on the floor thus far.
