The Raptors rely on generation second-chance points to churn their offense. It’s one of the foundational pillars of a good offense, basically, in the modern NBA. Allen Graves is going to help them excel at that this season. Graves played his second pre-season game for the Raptors tonight, and seven of his eight rebounds were on the offensive side of the ball. He scored on most of them, too! It’s clear, after these two games, that his skillset as a rebounder is his day-one contribution on this Raptors team. Alijah Martin, Nimari Burnett, Malachi Smith, Tyson Degenhart and Tyreke Key all showed out in the Raptors final pre-season game versus the 401 rivals, the Detroit Pistons, who played their entire rotation for the first half of the game. In this episode, I break down how Graves gets to his rebounds, why Burnett and Nate Bittle are my picks for the final two-way spot for the Raptors, and Alijah Martin getting it done. I’m excited for the 905 season after this game! Go get that chip!

Titans reportedly released Jordan Elliott after he fetched gun following scuffle in practice - The Guardian
Jordan Elliott, the defensive lineman released Tuesday by the Tennessee Titans, reportedly went to his car to retrieve a gun after an altercation in practice last Thursday. Ordered to leave the field after a scuffle with right tackle JC Latham, Elliott took off his pads, left the facility and went to the players’ lot where security cameras captured the scene, according to multiple reports from A to Z Sports and KPRC2. Defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers reportedly talked Elliott down and no one was hurt. Elliott did not practice Friday due to “personal reasons” and was inactive for Sunday’s 26-20 win against the Indianapolis Colts. After reviewing the footage, the Titans opted to release the 28-year-old, who had signed a two-year, $8m deal during the offseason. “On Thursday 15 October, there was an incident at our team facility involving Jordan Elliott,” the Titans said in a statement. “Following our review of the incident, we have made the decision to release Elliott from our roster. We will have no further comment on the matter. “Elliott appeared in the first five games of the season for the Titans.

Former Open Championship winner Louis Oosthuizen has become the latest high-profile player to quit LIV Golf, describing it as the "hardest decision he has had to make in his career". The league filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States in September after Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund withdrew its multibillion-dollar backing. Oosthuizen, 44, joined LIV Golf in 2022 and was captain of the Southern Guards GC team. The South African now plans to return to the DP World Tour in 2027. "Five years ago, I made one of the best decisions of my life, moving away from the traditional golf world and into something very special with LIV Golf and Southern Guards GC," Oosthuizen posted on social media. "I'm the biggest supporter of team golf and always will be. Golf needs more of it. "This is probably the hardest decision I've had to make in my career, but I have to do what I believe is right for my golf. "The 2010 Open champion, who has finished as a runner-up at least once in each of the other three majors, said a more flexible playing schedule will help him to compete at a high level.

Report: Released DL Elliott attempted to retrieve gun after spat with Titans teammate - TSN
Former Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Jordan Elliott was attempting to retrieve a gun from his car following an altercation with a teammate during practice last week, a source confirmed to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. The Titans released Elliott on Tuesday, citing an undisclosed "incident" that occurred at the team facility last Thursday. A source confirmed to Garafolo that, after a dispute with offensive lineman JC Latham, Elliott went to his parked car in the players' parking lot to get the gun. The gun never left Elliott's parking spot, the source told Garafolo. Multiple media outlets first reported Tuesday night that Elliott attempted to retrieve the gun from his car. Titans defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers helped to deescalate the situation, according to multiple reports. The Titans notified the NFL of the incident, which currently is being reviewed by the league. The NFL's firearm policy prohibits any personnel from possessing firearms at any team or league facilities, including stadiums, hotels, planes and buses, a league spokesman told ESPN. NFL rules stipulate that players are not allowed to possess firearms at any team or league facilities.
