Brewers 'Timeless Ticket' holders say the team isn't fully honoring deal for World Series seats

MILWAUKEE -- Two Kenosha brothers who paid $1,000 each for a Milwaukee Brewers "Timeless Ticket" more than a decade ago say the team isn't fully honoring the promise that came with it — the chance to sit in the best available seats for a game as big as the World Series. Kevin and Kyle Deaton say they were stunned when they saw the seating options made available to Timeless Ticket holders last week: terrace level seats or standing room only, priced at or below what the two brothers paid for their tickets in 2015. The tickets, according to the information card, "may be redeemed for the best available seat locations, subject to ticket availability at the time of redemption. " The brothers argue the Brewers aren't living up to that language. "When you promise somebody the best seat available, and you give them pretty much the worst seats that you have in the whole stadium, I would say, no. They're not honoring it," Kyle Deaton said. Michael Bloomberg gives Democrats $80 million in eleventh-hour midterm push

The giving, some of which is still underway, will make him one of the largest known left-leaning donors in the midterms. His team provided details on the donations before most of them show up in new campaign finance filings Tuesday and Thursday. “He believes in participation in our democracy,” Howard Wolfson, Bloomberg’s political adviser, said in an interview. “And obviously, the scale of his participation, given his resources and his means, is greater than other people’s financially. But other people are participating in different ways.”Will the money make a difference? After all, Bloomberg spent more than $1 billion on his own failed 2020 presidential campaign. “He is of the view that resources matter in campaigns,” Wolfson said. Still, Wolfson said that Bloomberg, 84, who exited elected office more than a decade ago, “expects a result.”Bloomberg is particularly focused on ensuring a sizable Democratic majority in the House of Representatives, the chamber that Democrats are most hopeful of flipping and that he tends to focus on.

Alberta referendum result removes a ‘major’ uncertainty, businesses say

After the majority of Albertans voted to remain in Canada, the Canadian dollar increased in value and some business leaders say the result should bring confidence to consumers and business owners alike. “Businesses, workers and communities can feel more confident with this result. As we digest the results of this process, we are reminded that we can never take national unity for granted. It is cultivated day by day,” said Candace Laing, president and CEO of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, in a statement. “Alberta is central to economic security and opportunity in Canada and we must now turn our attention squarely to the needed work to collaboratively build a stronger, resilient, united economy from coast to coast to coast.”The Business Council of Alberta’s president, Adam Legge said in a statement it’s “delighted” with the results as it “provides an important foundation” for the province’s economy, as well as families and workers to move forward with more certainty.
