Ferrari unleashed the F80 hybrid hypercar at the tail end of 2024 as the latest entry in its Special Series, that collection of flagship models that includes cars like the LaFerrari and Enzo before it. And just like those previous entries, the F80 will spawn additional variants. One we know is coming is an open-top version. Another is likely to be a hardcore version designed strictly for track use, and we might already know its name.

At $10,000, Would You Race To Buy This 1987 Chevy Sprint Turbo?

With its three cylinders and a turbo boost, today's Nice Price or No Dice Chevy Sprint was the tiniest hot hatch of its era. Now claimed restored and a show winner, we'll have to see how hot and bothered we get about its price. While it's arguably not been a great year in general, 2026 has proven to be a stellar year for the horror movie genre. It began with a Best Supporting Actress Oscar win for Amy Madigan lauding her work in Zach Cregger's "Weapons," and wrapped up with that same director's well-received, extremely fun "Resident Evil" flick. In between, we had an "Obsession," and found ourselves lost in "Backrooms. "

Bentley's 657 HP Supersports Just Lost Its Head

Because who wouldn't want a 657 horsepower convertible? The Bentley Supersports coupe is the most hardcore spinoff from the Continental series you can buy, and also the brand's lightest car in 85 years. But we all know how hard it is to keep those pounds off after an extreme diet, and judging from these new spy shot, Bentley knows it too. They show a Supersports convertible that could debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show this November.

America's New Car Market Is Leaving The Middle Class Behind

It's no secret that life is getting more expensive. Incomes are struggling to keep pace with rising prices, and the gap is widening. Few things illustrate this better than vehicle affordability, with more Americans finding themselves priced out of new cars altogether. A recent study by the Center for Automotive Research puts a number on this growing divide. In 2024, the top 20% of highest-earning households accounted for 55% of all spending on new vehicles. That's a new record and represents a significant jump from the 42% measured in 2019.

Mazda Kills Off The CX-70 And Will Sell Two- And Three-Row CX-90s Instead

Mazda's SUV range in the U. S. has long felt a little convoluted with the CX-30, CX-50, CX-5, CX-70, and CX-90, all vying for attention and sales. For the 2027 model year, things will get slightly simpler with Mazda confirming it's axing the CX-70 and replacing it with a new two-row version of the CX-90, selling it alongside the three-row CX-90 we're familiar with. Although the CX-70's removal from Mazda's line-up will help to streamline things, there will be fewer options for buyers. For 2027, there will be nine different trim levels of the CX-90 available, although only two of them are available with two rows, while all the others retain the three-row setup. All models have been fitted with a revised rear suspension crossmember to boost passenger comfort and address one of the most common complaints about the SUV. New colors of Navy Blue Mica, Aero Grey Metallic, Melting Copper Metallic, and Zircon Sand Metallic have also been added.

The All-Hybrid 2027 Lexus NX Is Improved In All The Right Ways But Isn’t Alone

Despite hybrids being so hot right now and compact luxury crossovers being so hot right now, the overlap in the resulting Venn diagram has historically been small enough for but one vehicle: The Lexus NX. For more than a decade, Lexus has planted its flag firmly in the soil, declaring reign over the fuel-sipping corner of the reasonably-sized, reasonably posh, reasonably tall car market. Now it’s going all the way: with a 2027 refresh, the Lexus NX is going hybrid-only. It couldn’t have come at a more important moment. For the first time in what feels like forever, Lexus isn’t alone in taking electrification in this segment seriously. With new plug-in and non-plug-in rivals either already on the market or hitting showrooms imminently, Toyota’s brand for the Whole Foods set needed to keep up with the Joneses by revamping some of the weaker spots on its second-most-popular model. So, has it worked? I headed not far from the NX’s North American production plant to find out.

Which One Looks Like More Fun? 1989 Chrysler TC By Maserati vs 1992 Nissan NX 1600

The great thing about doing this job is that it’s something I was doing anyway, looking at classified ads for crappy old cars and annoying people (usually my wife) by babbling about them. Now I just get to annoy a lot more people. The terrible thing about this job is finding a whole bunch of cars I wish I could buy, like the two I’m about to show you. One is on the wrong side of the country, and the other is nearby, but twice the price and broken. Yesterday we looked at a couple of Ford’s stranger post-malaise efforts: a diesel Escort and a 4WD Tempo. I was surprised by the results; I didn’t expect that many of you to cotton to the idea of a $4,000 Ford Escort. Oh, it still lost, but only by about two to one. I thought it would be a lot worse.
