Six years after it was first designed, the LEGO Daft Punk set is finally being released. But that’s not all; it turns out the fan-submitted design has kicked off a deeper partnership between the French electronic duo and the building bricks, as Daft Punk and LEGO have announced a full-scale partnership.

The collaboration will span “product, content and brand experiences… that crosses music, culture and creative spaces” according to a press release. The announcement was first teased during an October 21st broadcast on Daft Punk’s WDPK 83.7, where a metallic-gloved hand could be seen activating a switch inside a futuristic control room to reveal the glowing outline of a LEGO brick. Along with the duo’s robot designations TB3 (Thomas Bangalter) and GM08 (Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo), the cryptic markings displayed “2007” and “22.10,” pointing to both the announcement date and the iconic “Alive 2007” tour pyramid stage.

Daft Punk Are Now Lego - Pitchfork

And so is the Alive 2007 pyramidOctober 22, 2026Courtesy of LEGO and Daft PunkWe’re probably no closer to a Daft Punk reunion five years after the duo broke up—this despite completely unfounded rumors plus a run of legacy-building post-breakup projects—but now you can at least pretend Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo are playing at your house thanks to Lego’s latest collection. The Daft Punk set can be traced back to Covid lockdown, when a father and son from Luxembourg suggested the company recreate the duo’s 2007 Alive Tour pyramid stage. A rendering of that model can be found below, along with the DJ duo's official Lego minifigures. Bangalter and Homem-Christo now join the Beatles and the Spice Girls in the annals of musicians who’ve become plastic bricks. “The pyramid stage is one of the most recognisable expressions of Daft Punk’s visual world, so it feels fitting that this fan-created design will be centre stage of this partnership,” longtime Daft Punk creative director Cédric Hervet said in a statement.

Possible Plans for CM Punk at WrestleMania 43 Revealed - Ringside News

Jonathan Coachman says he’s already been told what WWE has in mind for WrestleMania — and we’re not talking about some vague possibilities. According to Coachman, his source was “100%” on Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk and Oba Femi vs. Roman Reigns being the two matches WWE wants to headline the two nights. Speaking on 2 Count Tuesday, Coachman dropped the claim while he and JD were talking about Roman’s limited schedule. The conversation was originally about finding the right balance between keeping a major star special and actually having them around enough to build stories.

Astronomers Matched van Gogh’s Starry Night to a Real Sky—and a Weirdly Specific Date - Gizmodo

For a surprisingly long time, scientists have debated whether Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night was his fantasy, a symbolic representation, or an actual astronomical observation. Also surprisingly, many astronomers favored the latter, specifically that the painting depicted the night sky in June 1889. But a study published today in Scientific Reports challenges that theory—and again, not in the direction you’d expect—and argues that The Starry Night likely represents the celestial arrangements of the sky before dawn on July 22, 1889. In what the team calls a project in “forensic astronomy,” the researchers studied astronomical simulations, historical weather records, and star positions, as well as van Gogh’s own letters from the time. Overall, all the evidence pointed to a late July date for the painting and simultaneously addressed concerns that brought doubt to the previous mid-June timeframe.

What Would Happen If You Had Sex With a Wicker Dick? - Vulture

We discuss the advantages and disadvantages of Alexander Skarsgard’s Wicker appendage with a gynecologist. Every once in a while, a small movie comes along that captures national curiosity before it premieres. That’s what happened with Wicker, a romantasy-comedy-fable that hits theaters this week but has been a source of horny internet fascination for months, due largely to the fact that it stars Alexander Skarsgård as a man made entirely of wicker, complete with a rock-hard wicker dick that catapults Olivia Colman into paroxysms of bed-breaking ecstasy.
