While oil prices and range anxiety dominate Western EV headlines, Nio’s battery-swap system in China keeps reaching new milestones that prove the technology can rival a traditional refueling infrastructure at scale, performing 1.2 million battery swaps over the holiday.

Nio kicked off this year busting record after record, posting six-figure swap numbers during the third day of the Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations and marking the third such record for Nio in as many days – but the company hasn’t stoped there. New reports indicate the company broke those impressive records again, performing nearly 1.2 million swaps over the National Day celebrations last week.

Survivor 51 Recap: The Open Era's First Tribe Swap Puts Everyone In Danger - TVLine

Was it not the late, great Whitney Houston who sang, "Didn't we almost have it all? " And in "Survivor 51," we truly almost did. Wednesday's episode took one giant step backwards when Jeff corralled the castaways on a new beach to announce that it was time to (say it with me now): Drop! Your! Buffs! And while I'm typically all gassed up about an ol' switcheroo (I even spoke to "Survivor: Africa" winner Ethan Zohn about the show's very first tribe swap), reverting the game back to a three-tribe format is... not so exciting. Making matters worse, since Rob decided to quit the game last week, the three tribes are starting out with uneven numbers: six, six, and five. Going from a Tribal Council of 11 players to one with five or six? A frustrating development to an otherwise excellent season (so far).

Mercedes-AMG's GT SUV Is More Than Just A 1,153 HP Beast

The first high-riding member of the AMG GT family is here with three fully electric powertrain options and fake engine noises Mercedes-AMG is working on several new V8 models, but at the same time, it's been developing this: the new GT SUV, its first-ever electric SUV. While it could easily be dismissed as just another absurdly powerful family hauler, the brand says it has real sports-car DNA and offers much more than insane straight-line performance.

Aston Martin, Range Rover, And Maserati SUVs Now Sell For Loaded Highlander Money

Dan Clougher is an automotive journalist and former classic and sports car dealer with hands-on experience across luxury, performance, and collector vehicles. Before joining CarBuzz, he managed his own showroom and worked with both independent and franchise dealers, specializing in classic and high-end models. His work draws on a practical understanding of the used and collector car markets, with a focus on value, rarity, and historical significance. High depreciation in the luxury segment is nothing new, and in fact, it's something we've covered here plenty of times in the past at CarBuzz. However, while there certainly is plenty to celebrate about a $40,000 luxury sedan now selling for $12,000, or tanking EV prices, this piece zeroes in on some of the biggest losers when it comes to plummeting values. Fully loaded SUVs from some of the most prestigious automakers are, on paper, properly desirable cars.

This GM Plant Might Be Headed For An 18-Month Production Hiatus

Classic gems, tasteful customs, legendary supercars - for Silvian, they're all fair game. He's been in love with cars and motorcycles for as long as he can remember, so it made perfect sense to eventually turn that passion into a full-time writing career. Around six years and more than 3,000 articles later, he is still going strong and doesn't plan on hitting the brakes anytime soon. About a year ago, General Motors said it will be axing the current Cadillac CT5 after 2026, and production is scheduled to end in December. That said, the CT5 will be returning in about two years as a 2029 model, but the timeline leaves us with some important questions regarding one of GM’s production facilities. We’re referring to the Lansing Grand River plant up in Michigan, whose future seems very uncertain until CT5 production resumes. The factory might be on its way toward an extended pause while the next Cadillac luxury sedan is being developed, as GM hasn’t clarified its plans in that regard.
