Larkin is expected to be dealt within the next week. John Buccigross on Frankly Hockey about the Red Wings: I think there's gooing be a trade within 7 to 10 days in Detroit. I got a little bit of information last night which tells me that we're going to see a trade[...] Seravalli: It has to be Larkin, right?. Buccigross: Yeah, Larkin. Growing Pains: McKenna benched, Buium struggling, Levshunov shining? - Oct. 16, 2026 - Frankly Hockey with @Buccigross https://t.co/1z87xpO39j— Frank Seravalli (@frank_seravalli) October 16, 2026 Buccigross mentioned to Frank Seravalli on Friday that he's received information on a Larkin trade. Where exactly he winds up, is anyone's guess at this point. Multiple reports have stated that Larkin is open to a trade to up to 12 teams, but prefers a situation where he can be on a Stanley Cup contender this season. The Minnesota Wild and Montreal Canadiens have been going hard after Larkin of late, so don't be surprised to see one of these two teams win the sweepstakes.

Radiation Omission in Favorable Breast Cancer Hinges on Endocrine Adherence - CancerNetwork

Leah Katz, MD, MPH, discusses long-term IDEA trial data on omitting radiation and why endocrine therapy tolerance matters in this decision. In an interview with CancerNetwork® at the 2026 American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Annual Meeting, Leah Katz, MD, MPH, vice chair of Faculty Development and an attending radiation oncologist in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, discussed long-term follow-up from the prospective, single-arm phase 2 IDEA trial (NCT02400190). Katz served as the discussant for the breast cancer Science Highlights session at the meeting. The trial enrolled 200 postmenopausal patients aged 50 to 69 years with biologically favorable, stage I, estrogen receptor–positive, HER2-negative breast cancer and a 21-gene recurrence score of 18 or lower who received endocrine therapy without radiotherapy after breast-conserving surgery. At a median follow-up of 7.93 years, freedom from recurrence was 99% at 5 years and 94% at 8 years, and most ipsilateral breast events occurred after 5 years.

Captain Price Actor Sends Message to Fans as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Campaign Praise Rolls in - IGN Nordic

When you buy something from this article, IGN Nordic might get a part of the revenue. Barry Sloane, the actor behind Call of Duty's Captain Price, has shared a message with fans as praise for Modern Warfare 4's campaign rolls in. Early reactions to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's story mode have filled social media feeds in the first 24 hours since early access players dived in – and most of them seem to be quite positive. Fans online have called it one of the more "brutal" and "intense" campaigns the series has ever seen, with many going as far as to say it holds its own against classic stories featured in games like the original Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops. It appears to be a winner for publisher Activision and developer Infinity Ward that critics like, too. While Steam reviews paint a "Very Positive" picture, IGN awarded this year's set of story missions an 8/10. Our reviewer said the Modern Warfare 4 campaign made them "feel something for the series again," adding that it managed to send the reboot saga series out "on a high note. ""The MW4 campaign was a 10/10 for me, they made a good story and ended it," one recent Steam review said.

Automated HCV Surveillance Shows Promise But Needs Validation - The American Journal of Managed Care

SaTScan detects an acute HCV outbreak cluster in California, showing the potential of automated surveillance, though real-time testing is needed. SaTScan, a free spatiotemporal scanning tool, detected a cluster of acute hepatitis C virus (HCV) cases associated with a verified outbreak at a Los Angeles County pain clinic the day after the second outbreak-related case was reported, according to a proof-of-concept (POC) analysis recently published in JMIR Public Health and Surveillance.1 The findings suggest that automated cluster detection could help health departments identify outbreaks that traditional case investigation may miss. Challenges in HCV Outbreak Detection Prompt Automated Surveillance EvaluationBetween 55% and 85% of people with acute HCV infection do not clear the virus on their own, but early diagnosis and treatment can prevent progression to chronic HCV and its complications, including hepatocellular carcinoma. Outbreaks typically arise in settings with a high risk of percutaneous exposure, such as among people who inject drugs and in health care facilities.

Cumulative average lipoprotein combined index-waist circumference and incident cardiovascular disease in Chinese middle-aged and older adults - Nature

We’re sharing this article early to provide faster access to peer-reviewed, accepted research. It is citable and carries a permanent DOI. This version is subject to further edits and will be replaced automatically by the final Version of Record. All legal disclaimers apply. AbstractCardiovascular disease (CVD) is a major public health burden among middle-aged and older adults in China. Dyslipidemia and central obesity jointly contribute to CVD risk, but the association between long-term cumulative exposure to composite lipid-abdominal obesity indicators and incident CVD remains unclear. This study examined whether cumulative average lipoprotein combined index–waist circumference (LCI-WC), defined using natural log-transformed lipoprotein combined index (LCI) and waist circumference (WC), was associated with incident CVD. Data were obtained from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS). Cumulative average LCI-WC was calculated as the mean of LCI-WC values measured in 2011 and 2015, where LCI-WC was defined as ln (LCI)×WC. Incident CVD was assessed at the 2018 follow-up.

Apple adds further App Store restrictions around AI 'nudify' apps - Mashable

Apple is trying to tighten its control of the iOS App Store, especially as it regards AI deepfake nude photos. In a brief note on its developer website, Apple announced a change to its moderation tactics for the App Store. These new measures target apps capable of generating "nonconsensual intimate imagery" of real people using user-generated content tools. Pornographic material is already banned on the App Store, and so are apps explicitly designed to do that, but apps that have the potential to do so are now also required to filter such content, provide a way to report it, prevent uploads, and remove anything that gets through all of that. The change here, essentially, is that app makers are now required to self-police more thoroughly against AI nude photos. If any app is found to violate those rules, as well as a new one prohibiting "bait and switch" tactics (such as misrepresenting what the app can do during the submission review period), it can and will be pulled from the App Store. In addition, developers behind these apps can have their ability to submit to the App Store revoked.

Preview: Islanders visiting the Leafs - PPP Leafs

New York Islanders @ Toronto Maple Leafs07:00 PM at Scotiabank ArenaWatch on: SN, MSGSNThe Leafs last game was at home on October 15 against the Buffalo Sabres, which Toronto lost by a score of 5-4 in overtime. The Leafs have a record of 3-3-2 for a 0.500 Points %. The New York Islanders last played away on October 15 against the Ottawa Senators. The Islanders lost by a score of 2-1 in a shootout, and their current league record is 3-3-1 for a 0.500 Points %. ThemHere we are again playing a team with a nearly identical record so far this season. Both teams lost their last game at the coinflip stage, and would like a win. The interesting thing about the Islanders is the success of Matias Maccelli (who I am thrilled for, I liked him a lot). He's essentially their Jack Roslovic, who is doing great for the Leafs, so it's good things all around. The Islanders should be scary good on defence with their savant Matthew Schaefer leading the way. But they've been allowing a lot of shots against so far. Both goalies have been good, and the newly surgically repaired Varlamov has fantastic results in only two games played.

The 8 Best Castlevania Games, Ranked

Castlevania is one of the most beloved franchises in video game history, despite a period of 13 years when we didn’t see a new installment until the launch of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse earlier this week. Over the years, the games have provided a variety of experiences, mixed with rich lore built on the vampire myth. With so many games available to choose from, it can be difficult to know where to begin if you haven’t touched the series in a while. Accordingly, here is our ranked list of the 8 best Castlevania games. It should make an excellent starting point. Released: Oct. 31, 1991 When Castlevania came to the Super Nintendo, it needed to impress players who were still deciding whether they wanted to spend money on a new generation of Nintendo hardware. Fortunately for everyone involved, the team at Konami was up to the task. Super Castlevania 4 features beautiful environments, as well as a hero who can now whip in eight directions, even while jumping. It’s also possible to grapple to distant points, or to wield the whip as a shield. Early use of Mode 7 rotation provided some visual showpieces to go along with parallax depth that brought static environments to life.

D&D’s Arcana Unleashed Officially Fixes One of the Game’s Most Frustrating Problems

Picture Kellnor, a burly, Conan-looking Barbarian standing with a mighty weapon in each hand. In one, he holds a demonic sword stolen from the Cult of Asmodeus. In the other is Azuredge, a glowing battleaxe forged by the legendary archwizard Ahghairon. This intelligent weapon is inhabited by the spirit of Lady Lauroun, a legendary hero of Waterdeep. It operates under rules remarkably similar to Thor’s Mjolnir: it becomes impossibly heavy to hold if the character trying to wield it isn’t worthy, and it can be thrown through the air before returning to its owner’s hand. Unfortunately for Kellnor, Azuredge demands that its wielder remain virtuous, so sharing a wielder with an evil sword was non-negotiable. Even the numbers made Kellnor’s choice practically inevitable. The demon sword was +2. Azuredge was +3. And so, after extracting the Eye of Golorr hidden inside the sword’s hilt, Kellnor simply dropped it outside the entrance to the cult’s hideout and moved on. The rest of the do-gooders in the party wanted nothing to do with it.

Experimental characterization and scaling of flexural rigidity in sewn multilayer structures - Nature

We’re sharing this article early to provide faster access to peer-reviewed, accepted research. It is citable and carries a permanent DOI. This version is subject to further edits and will be replaced automatically by the final Version of Record. All legal disclaimers apply. AbstractSewing is one of the established methods used to fabricate and assemble multilayer insulation (MLI) blankets for aerospace applications, yet the resulting effective flexural behavior remains insufficiently understood. This study investigates the room-temperature, quasi-static flexural behavior of MLI blankets composed of aluminized BoPET radiation shields and polyester net spacers across structural configurations of 2, 6, 12, and 24 layers. A full factorial design was employed to evaluate the influence of the number of layers, stitch density, needle thread tension, and needle foot force. Statistical analyses demonstrated that the number of layers is the dominant factor governing flexural response. Among the sewing parameters, needle thread tension was associated with modifications in bending length, while needle foot force primarily affected local compaction.

Oh dear, half a year after launching Samson, Swedish developer Liquid Swords have filed for bankruptcy

Earlier this year, Swedish developer Liquid Swords released Samson, a GTA-ish, open world beat 'em up about dealing with debt, driving sturdy but battered cars, and saving your sister. It wasn't received all that well, including by us, notably because it was quite broken. While subsequent patches did seek to address those issues, it doesn't seem like it was quite enough, as the developer has gone bankrupt. As reported by Swedish outlet Breakit (via Gametalk), on October 12th the Stockholm District Court put out a bankruptcy order against the developer. According to Breakit, almost 30 employees are affected, with the Swedish state stepping in to cover all unpaid salaries. It seems that staff had gone at least two months without pay, obviously a significant period to be without it, and they themselves petitioned to file the company as bankrupt. Breakit also said that the administrator for the bankruptcy filing is hopeful in regards to finding a buyer.

Marking the first release in Paramount’s distribution deal with Legendary, the studio had been expecting a debut in the mid-$30 millions for director Kitao Sakurai’s feature adaptation of the Capcom video game. Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji and Callina Liang star in the $82 million-budgeted movie focusing on a combat tournament.

Phyllodes Tumors of the Breast in 2026: A Contemporary Narrative Review of Diagnosis, Surgical Margins, Prognosis, and Emerging Therapies - Cureus

Phyllodes tumors of the breast are rare fibroepithelial neoplasms characterized by significant heterogeneity regarding morphology, biological behavior, and clinical outcome. This review summarizes current developments in the diagnosis, histopathological and molecular classification, therapeutic management, and emerging technologies associated with phyllodes tumors of the breast. A literature search was conducted across PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Embase, and Google Scholar, focusing on publications from the 2000-2026 period. The literature search covered publications from January 1, 2000, to September 30, 2026, and was last updated on September 30, 2026. Mammography, ultrasound, and magnetic resonance imaging contribute to preoperative assessment, although significant diagnostic overlap with fibroadenomas persists. Core needle biopsy is a key diagnostic tool, yet lesion heterogeneity can limit the accuracy of histological classification. Advances in molecular pathology have identified mutations and pathways associated with the progression and aggressiveness of phyllodes tumors, though these have not yet replaced morphological assessment. Surgical excision with negative margins remains
