CFB Wainwright disaster triggers mass casualty protocols at Alberta hospitals

Description

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said 39 patients were being treated in hospitals across Alberta, with 19 in critical condition as of Sunday afternoon. A Code Orange was in effect overnight as patients were rushed to hospitals across the province and health workers mobilized for the mass casualty event. The protocols ended a day after the disaster but officials say many of the wounded are not yet out of the woods.
