Description
Two Montreal police officers have been suspended following allegations of degrading behaviour, one of them accused of urinating on an unhoused person. The alleged incident was reported by the officer’s own colleagues. The controversy comes just days after officers at a separate Montreal police station were suspended following allegations of racist and hateful behaviour toward Black and Arab residents. As Elizabeth Zogalis reports, the incidents have raised serious questions about police conduct and accountability in Montreal.
