Atomic technology cannot be halted by attacks, Iran nuclear chief says - Türkiye Today

This handout image supplied by the IIPA (Iran International Photo Agency) shows a view of the reactor building at the Russian-built Bushehr nuclear power plant as the first fuel is loaded, on August 21, 2010 in Bushehr, southern Iran. (Photo by IIPA) Iran’s nuclear technology cannot be eliminated through threats, sanctions, or military attacks, Atomic Energy Organization of Iran chief Mohammad Eslami said, arguing that the country’s nuclear advances are rooted in domestic scientific capabilities and will continue despite U. S. pressure. Speaking at an international conference on “Ecocide: The Silent War Crime,” Eslami said Iran’s nuclear technology was developed through years of work by Iranian scientists and researchers and had become an important part of the country’s scientific and technological progress. “Overt threats by U. S. officials to use tactical weapons against Iran’s nuclear facilities—delivered right from the United Nations podium—and talk of destroying Iran’s ancient civilization reveal helplessness in the face of a pioneering nation,” Eslami said, according to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency. He said Iran and its people “will never surrender.”

Step by step mastering and developing nuclear technology suited to Viet Nam’s needs - mst.gov.vn

Dr. Tran Chi Thanh, Director of the Viet Nam Atomic Energy Institute speaks at the press conferenceNew nuclear reactor in Dong Nai to have 30 times the capacity of Da Lat reactorAccording to Dr. Tran Chi Thanh, after being restored, upgraded, and put into operation in 1984 with the assistance of the former Soviet Union, the Da Lat Nuclear Research Reactor has been operating for 42 years. Despite its modest capacity of only 0.5 MW, the Da Lat reactor is evaluated by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as one of the most effective low-power research reactors in the world. Currently, the reactor supplies about 80% of the radiopharmaceuticals for hospitals nationwide, primarily serving cancer diagnosis and treatment. Each year, Viet Nam records approximately 180,000 new cancer cases. While the demand for medical radioisotopes is growing, domestic production capacity remains limited. The project to establish the Center for Nuclear Science and Technology Research, featuring a new research reactor in Dong Nai, is expected to enhance research and production capacity for radioisotopes and advance the deployment of nuclear technique applications.
