Revolve Group Builds on AI Technology to Drive Growth & Efficiency - The Globe and Mail

Revolve Group, Inc. RVLV is expanding its use of artificial intelligence (AI) to sharpen pricing, optimize inventory and personalize shopping. Its proprietary technology and data infrastructure are helping teams respond to demand and make faster decisions. New applications in visual search and store analytics could further strengthen customer engagement as the company expands its physical retail presence. The benefits were evident in second-quarter 2026 gross margin, which rose to 56.6% from 54.1% a year earlier. Although tariff refunds accounted for most of the increase, margin improved approximately 90 basis points excluding that benefit. Management primarily attributed the underlying improvement to AI and data-driven adjustments to markdown algorithms. Net sales climbed 12% to $347.4 million, while trailing 12-month active customers increased 11% to 3.04 million. Product discovery represents another opportunity. On its second-quarter earnings call, Revolve Group outlined plans to test image-based search, enabling shoppers to upload photographs and find exact items when available or similar merchandise.

Can Spotify Technology (NYSE:SPOT) Still Look Cheap After New Content Bets? - Simply Wall Street

Spotify Technology has seen its share price swing sharply in recent years, and the question now is whether the current US$529.14 level is supported by the cash it can generate over time. With fresh product moves and new content deals in play, investors are weighing how those decisions translate into future cash flows rather than just headline momentum. Over the past 3 years the stock has returned about 234.6%, which puts a lot of weight on whether Spotify's underlying cash generation can keep backing that kind of share price reset. The renewed multiyear agreement for The Joe Rogan Experience and the global audiobook rollout can influence expectations for subscriber engagement, content costs and ultimately when Spotify's investments translate into steadier free cash flow. What if you looked at Spotify Technology through its earnings instead? See why Spotify Technology's 29.1x P/E tells a different valuation story. For investors, the debate is whether Spotify's current market value is justified by the intrinsic value implied by its expected cash flows over the coming years.

NFL ball-spotting technology explained: Why tracking chips and Hawk-Eye have limitations - CBS Sports

A controversial spot involving Cooper Kupp in the Seahawks' loss to the 49ers highlighted the limitations of the NFL's RFID chips The mantra that football is "a game of inches" rang true in Week 5 when the Seattle Seahawks fell just short of an opportunity to tie or take a late lead against the San Francisco 49ers. A close call on the game's decisive play gave new life to the question of why the NFL cannot use technology to spot the ball, because human error might have been the difference between the Seahawks staying alive or falling to their NFC West rival in the 32-29 defeat. Seattle, trailing by three points, faced a fourth-and-10 from midfield with 54 seconds to play in the game. Sam Darnold completed a pass to Cooper Kupp, who ran towards the 40-yard line and lunged toward the first-down marker as he flew out of bounds. The officials marked Kupp short of the line to gain. The play went to a booth review and stood as called on the field. Seattle had only one timeout remaining, so the 49ers knelt with the ball to drain the clock for their fifth consecutive victory to open the season.
