CFC10 U Sports Rankings Week 6: Are Queen’s now the kings of the OUA? - CanadaFootballChat.com

We’ve got a new leader in the OUA clubhouse after Queen’s were able to outgun Western in a 41-30 shootout. If you’re a fan of untethered offensive football where playing defence is optional, than this contest was an all-time classic with both teams combining for over 900 yards. The Gaels came out of the gates hot taking a 24-13 lead into halftime, but the Mustangs found their stride in the third quarter battling back to retake the lead 29-27. Unfortunately that was the best it was going to get with Queen’s showing no fear putting together a dominate fourth quarter performance to take full control of first place in the OUA as we hit the homestretch. The Gaels offensive outburst was led by QB Alex Vreeken, who finished the day with 404 yards on 27 completions with two touchdown tosses to WR Russell Weir, who tallied up seven catches for 138 yards. They can celebrate for now, but the road to the playoffs will be treacherous for Queen’s with their remaining three games coming against top ten ranked Windsor, Guelph and McMaster. The first quarter was all Thunderbirds taking an early 14-3 lead, but UBC couldn’t find a way to slow down Saskatchewan for 60 minutes with the Huskies

Jon Rahm will not participate in LIV Golf 2.0: Lawyer says terms for new league are 'unacceptable to him' - CBS Sports

LIV Golf will be losing one of its biggest stars as it looks to reinvent itself after bankruptcy Jon Rahm will not be part of LIV Golf 2.0, leaving the golf league without one of its biggest stars and draws for potential investors as it goes through bankruptcy. Rahm's lawyer made the announcement during LIV Golf's bankruptcy hearing on Wednesday, stating Rahm "has independently reviewed the proposed terms of LIV 2.0 ... and has determined that those terms are unacceptable to him, and he will not be participating going forward," according to Front Office Sports. Immediately following the bankruptcy filing, in which Rahm is listed as the top unsecured creditor with more than $7 million owed to him for the third quarter of 2026 alone, Rahm stated that he was "more than willing to fulfill" his contract with LIV 1.0. However, the revamped league will not be honoring those contracts, and the new offer on the table, which included an ownership stake, is not something Rahm is interested in. He will now leave LIV Golf and explore his options elsewhere.

Kasey Kahne Returning To NASCAR With Full-Time Truck Ride In 2027 - FOX Sports

Kasey Kahne didn’t like the way his full-time NASCAR career ended. So he hopes he can finish it off with something that makes him smile — nine years after his last full-time season. The 46-year-old Kahne will compete full time in NASCAR’s truck series in 2027, as he drives the No. 77 for Spire Motorsports. Kahne’s last full-time NASCAR season came to an abrupt end in September 2018 when his body could not handle (or recover quickly enough) from the physical demands of weekly Cup races. Kasey Kahne will make his return to a full-time ride in NASCAR in 2027. Spire co-owner Jeff Dickerson approached Kahne in August at the Knoxville Nationals sprint-car event to ask him if he would consider running full time for Spire. Since getting out of the NASCAR seat in 2018, Kahne has competed in sprint-car racing. "To get that type of an opportunity to run a truck and be with a team with a lot of success, I was like, ‘Man, I can't pass this up,’" Kahne said on Speed with Harvick and Buxton. "I got excited pretty quick. "Kahne knows he won’t have as much success as his current truck stats, which is five wins in six races. He last raced a truck in 2015.
