Patrick Reed: American reassures former LIV Golf colleagues - 'DP World Tour welcomed me in after I left breakaway league' - Sky Sports

Race to Dubai leader Patrick Reed offered some reassurance to former LIV Golf colleagues considering their futures by insisting he has been welcomed by the DP World Tour. New rules will require all members of the former European Tour to state explicitly that they will not be signing up for the proposed LIV 2.0 relaunch after the original format applied for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The PGA Tour's year-long suspension policy means the DP World Tour has offered a safe haven, with Reed signing up after his contract expired in January.

World News in Brief: Gaza braces for winter amid attacks, joint patrols in CAR, 90 cities commit to sustainable development - UN News

Over the past two days, partners recorded multiple airstrikes, as well as shelling, demolition blasts, naval fire and shooting across all of Gaza’s governorates, particularly west of the so-called “yellow line” established by Israeli authorities. Humanitarians brought in additional fuel, plastic tarpaulins, winter clothing, medicines and medical supplies, but OCHA said these limited items were insufficient to meet people’s needs. Deliveries remain constrained by underfunding and Israeli restrictions, including bans on some partners’ operations, limits on imports such as engine oil and spare parts and restricted access to more than 64 per cent of Gaza’s land. Meanwhile, the UN human rights office in the Occupied Palestinian Territory condemned an Israeli raid on Tuesday on premises in Al Bira, Ramallah, which Israeli forces claimed were the offices of two Palestinian civil society organizations, Addameer and the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committee. Soldiers confiscated files and equipment and detained a journalist and a former prisoner, the office said, calling for an immediate end to the crackdown on Palestinian civic space.

Houthis Vow More Attacks After Strike on Aramco Headquarters - Crude Oil Prices Today | OilPrice.com

Yemen's Houthis said Wednesday they will resume attacks on Saudi airports and oil facilities "in the coming days," after Saudi authorities reported a limited fire at Aramco's office complex in Dhahran during a Houthi missile attack Tuesday night. The Houthis claimed strikes on Aramco facilities in Dhahran, an Aramco refinery in Riyadh and King Khalid International Airport. The Houthis called the sites legitimate targets and urged international shipping companies, civilians and workers to evacuate Saudi airports and oil facilities. Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Malki, spokesman for the Saudi-led Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, said a ballistic missile aimed at Dhahran on Tuesday was intercepted and destroyed, and that debris from the interception fell on a residential area. Three people with knowledge of the matter told Reuters the fire at the Dhahran complex spread across several floors. Two of them said operations at Aramco were continuing normally, with employees working from home. Two regional officials told the Associated Press that the top three floors of a building used by senior Aramco executives were damaged. One official said the CEO’s office was among those hit.

Judge blocks US sanctions on rights groups helping ICC Gaza war crimes inquiry - The Guardian

A US federal judge has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from placing sanctions on two US-based human rights groups for working to help the international criminal court’s (ICC) investigations into war crimes in Gaza. In a 30-page order issued on Tuesday, Jesse M Furman, a judge at the US district court for the southern district of New York, granted a preliminary injunction to the two groups, Democracy for the Arab World Now (Dawn) and Taxpayer Alliance Against Genocide (Taag). The two organizations sued the Trump administration this summer, challenging an executive order issued in February 2025 that imposed sanctions against the ICC. The order warned the US government would “impose tangible and significant consequences” on people involved in investigations that Washington said threatened the national security of the US or its allies, including Israel. The order came after the ICC issued arrest warrants for the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his former defense minister Yoav Gallant, accusing them of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

(Jim Watson / AFP via Getty Images)President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Oct. 14 that Ukraine is "losing a strong partner" as the U. S. eases sanctions on Russia while ramping up pressure on Kyiv. Asked by British host Piers Morgan in an interview whether he feels that Ukraine is losing the U. S., Zelensky said, "Yeah, but not because of us. We can't be weak. ""It's painful when President Trump chooses one ‌side, not our side," he noted. The comments come after Trump announced a deal to purchase diesel from Russia on Oct. 9, while saying that Zelensky should be replaced as Ukraine's leader. When asked whether he felt betrayed by Trump, the Ukrainian leader answered: "Really, ‌yes... but it's a little bit more complicated than just my emotions or my feelings. "Zelensky also said that the apparent decision to throttle Ukraine's Starlink service, operated by Elon Musk's SpaceX, is a "big mistake. " Ukraine confirmed on Oct.
