Claude Code's creator says he talks to AI like a coworker. Here are his 3 prompting tips. - Business Insider

Claude Code creator Boris Cherny gave three tips for prompting AI. The days of the "prompt engineer" seem to be fading away. Boris Cherny, who created Claude Code for Anthropic, said that there's no need for long, formulaic AI prompts anymore. As models have gotten better, the need to perfect your prompt has diminished, he wrote in a Tuesday X post. "Talk to Claude the way you would a coworker," Cherny wrote. "There's no secret to prompting. There's no need to be overly scaffolded or prescriptive for most tasks. "Not long ago, AI users were passing around their favorite added clauses and sentences to get an AI chatbot to do their bidding. Anthropic's Claude was memed with a common prompting line: "Make no mistakes. "Now, Cherny said that users should prompt the model with three basic things:What you want it to doHow much effort you want it to spendHow it should verify that it did the right thingCherny also shared one of his prompts. It was casual, calling a podcast episode "really amazing" and asking Claude to build an artifact based on it. Claude should "use lots of tokens" and make the visuals better than a New Yorker or New York Times data visualization, he wrote.

Trump Supporter Stunned as MAGA Crackdown Wrecks His Business - Yahoo News Canada

David Reyna thought Donald Trump's return to the White House would lower costs and secure the border. Instead, the president's immigration crackdown is hurting his businesses. Trump made immigration enforcement a centerpiece of his 2024 campaign, promising the "largest deportation" effort in U. S. history, pledging to close the border, and moving to restrict birthright citizenship. But those policies are now hurting the very voters that supported them in the first place, and that could spell disaster for the GOP come the November midterms. A sharp surge in immigration arrests is removing undocumented workers from industries that rely heavily on their labor. Construction projects are slowing because of worker shortages, and shrimping operations along the Gulf Coast are also feeling the squeeze. Meanwhile, new restrictions on commercial driver's licenses for some immigrants have compounded the pressure on an already strained trucking industry. President Donald Trump has aggressively expanded the use of detention facilities—including prisons not on U. S. soil—as a key part of his immigration crackdown. / Chip Somodevilla/Getty ImagesReyna is one of the business owners affected.
