What follows is a transcript of that discussion, edited for length and clarity.

The Cybersecurity Talent Gap Is an Economic Problem. Tolulope Michael Is Betting Non-Technical Workers Are the Answer - markets.businessinsider.com
DALLAS, Oct. 11, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- For years, the cybersecurity industry has described its hiring problem in the same terms: too many open roles, too few qualified people. The pipeline conversation has typically assumed one kind of candidate - a computer science graduate who codes. ExcelMindCyber, the Chicago-based accelerated cybersecurity training organization led by Chief Visionary Officer Tolulope Michael, is building its business on a different premise: that a large share of unfilled cybersecurity work does not require an engineering background at all. "Cybersecurity isn't just for techies - it's for problem solvers, strategists, and GRC professionals. " - TOLULOPE MICHAEL, CVO AT THELIX HOLDINGS A Pipeline Built for One Kind of Candidate Michael's programs focus on Governance, Risk, and Compliance - GRC - the discipline concerned with security policy, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance rather than penetration testing or code.

Deregistration looms for 18 Manchester auto businesses over missing ownership filings - Jamaica Gleaner
At least 18 car dealers and related vehicle businesses in Manchester are facing possible deregistration by the Companies Office of Jamaica (COJ) for failing to file beneficial-ownership returns, according to an analysis by the Financial Gleaner. The firms are among more than 1,000 businesses, churches, foundations, charities and other organisations islandwide named in a COJ strike-off notice dated July 8, 2026, and published in The Gleaner on September 25. The Gleaner identified at least 18 Manchester-based auto dealers, car-rental operators, auto-parts businesses and vehicle importers on the list. The Gleaner didn’t get immediate responses from those contacted on the list up to print. The notice says the Registrar of Companies had “reasonable cause to believe” the companies failed to deliver Annual Beneficial Ownership Returns within the period set by the Companies Act. It gave them three months to show cause why they shouldn’t be struck from the register and dissolved. Unless cause is shown, the notice says, the companies will be removed and dissolved. The notice alleges only a failure to file. It doesn’t say whether any of the companies have since complied.

Elite Diagnostic asks large shareholders to disclose plans after heavy trading - Jamaica Gleaner
Elite Diagnostic Ltd has asked its large shareholders to disclose their intentions after another session of heavy trading in its shares on Friday, when 41.5 million units changed hands. It was the latest volume session of the week for the otherwise thinly traded stock. On October 1, some 88.5 million units traded, and on October 6 some 83.9 million. Thereafter, that unnamed shareholder slid back to one-third of the 353.4 million total issued shares. “No shareholder currently holds more than 50 per cent of the company’s issued ordinary shares. The company’s largest shareholder currently holds ordinary shares, representing approximately 38 per cent of the company’s issued ordinary shares,” the company said in a release on Friday. The Financial Gleaner tried to contact chairman Steven Gooden, who did not return calls. Friday gains, weekly loss The stock closed 2.4 per cent higher on Friday but down 14 per cent for the week.

The AI labor apocalypse is on hold (for now) - EL PAÍS English
There are three versions of Saint John’s Book of the Apocalypse, a text that never loses relevance and now seems to presage the impacts of artificial intelligence (AI). One: the recent and terrifying prospect of death raining down from swarms of autonomous, AI-driven killer machines, in a reprise of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001. Two: a sector whose impossible expectations are inflating the mother of all financial bubbles to levels that make the Great Recession and its grapes of wrath look tame. And three: the end of work — a brutal reconversion and, at worst, the disappearance of millions of jobs, for the first time disproportionately affecting the best-educated, potentially pushing the global economy toward depression, unprecedented levels of inequality and a blend of technofatalism, resentment and rage (something that is already happening, by the way, but magnified a thousandfold). Utopias and dystopias are storytelling machines. They spit out punchy headlines, fin-de-siècle lyrical flourishes and syllables swollen like storm clouds. But they often prevent us from seeing what is really happening: those hyperbolic visions serve vested interests.

Jay Norris Defines a New Model of Business Transformation at the Intersection of Humanity and Technology - markets.businessinsider.com
Westport, New York, United States, October 11, 2026 -- As businesses navigate an increasingly technology-driven economy, entrepreneur and transformation leader Jay Norris is advancing a broader view of what it means to transform an organization: technology should not replace the human element of business, but expand what people are capable of achieving. Norris, a Transformation Leader, Serial Entrepreneur, Investor and Master Connector, describes his evolving role as a Transformational Architect operating at the intersection where Humanity meets Technology. His work brings together technology, people, culture, relationships and opportunity to help organizations see beyond individual challenges and understand what becomes possible when those elements are connected. But technology alone does not transform an organization. People do. Culture determines how people respond to change, how they work together, and whether new capabilities actually create lasting value. At the center of his philosophy is a simple premise: technology creates capability; humanity creates meaning. Transformation happens when the two are designed together. “Technology should expand human potential, not
