Joe Rogan renews multimillion-dollar podcast deal with Spotify - Los Angeles Times

Spotify on Thursday said it had renewed its deal with Joe Rogan, who leads the audio company’s most popular podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience.” The podcast, which has 18 million followers on Spotify, has been the company’s top podcast since 2020. The terms of the multiyear licensing deal were not disclosed. The Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed sources, reported the deal had an estimated earnout of $250 million. “The partnership with Spotify has been an amazing fit, and they’re incredible to work with,” Rogan said in a statement. “I’m extremely happy and excited to continue with them for years to come.”Rogan first entered into an exclusive multiyear podcast deal with Spotify in 2020 in a deal said to be worth $100 million. The partnership was key to driving podcast audiences to Spotify, which at the time was mostly known as a streaming music service. In 2024, the company extended its partnership for “The Joe Rogan Experience” to be distributed on other platforms, and that will continue in the latest deal. Rogan’s show was ranked as the top podcast last year on Spotify, YouTube and Apple Podcasts.

Flutter Entertainment (FLUT) Stock Trades Up, Here Is Why - TradingView

What Happened? Shares of global online betting powerhouse Flutter Entertainment (NASDAQ:FLUT) jumped 4.4% in the afternoon session after Citi analyst Monique Pollard upgraded the company from a Neutral rating to a Buy rating. According to StreetInsider, Susquehanna analyst Joseph Stauff separately cut his price target to $100 from $115 and kept a Positive rating. He said third-quarter profit is likely to be lower and that the weaker result is already discounted. The stock, he said, is most sensitive to FanDuel’s recovery in online sports betting, where he sees progress. He pointed to heavier competition, including from prediction markets, higher taxes in states such as Illinois, Ohio, Maryland, New Jersey, and Louisiana, and fewer new state launches than in prior years. A strong showing on operating metrics, he said, would support the view that FanDuel’s sportsbook has stabilized. After the initial pop, the shares cooled down to $79.10, up 4.3% from the previous close. What Is The Market Telling UsFlutter Entertainment’s shares are very volatile and have had 23 moves greater than 5% over the last year.

Beyond game day: How connected workflows are modernizing sports and entertainment venues - Autodesk News

Sports venues are some of the most complex buildings to design, build, and operate. Through partnerships with the Cleveland Browns and the New England Patriots, Autodesk is showing how connected data can carry a project from early design through construction and into operations.  That complexity makes them a powerful example of what Autodesk’s Design and Make Platform is built to support: connecting people, data, and workflows from early design and construction through operations. Together, these partnerships demonstrate how technology can help teams and venue owners deliver ambitious capital projects, modernize facilities, make more informed decisions, and create better experiences for the people who use these spaces every day. Autodesk is the Official Design and Make Platform for the Cleveland Browns as the organization builds the new Huntington Bank Field in Brook Park, Ohio.  The new enclosed stadium is designed as a year-round sports and entertainment destination and the centerpiece of a larger mixed-use development. Groundbreaking took place in April 2026, with the stadium expected to open in 2029.  The project brings together an extensive design and construction ecosystem.

Slow TV, the Norwegian experiment that turned long journeys into global entertainment - Yahoo

Television is usually designed to move quickly, with dramatic stories, fast editing, and constant entertainment. Norway created something completely different. Instead of rushing viewers from one moment to another, Norwegian Broadcasting Company introduced a new style of programming that allowed audiences to experience real journeys and everyday activities in their entirety. This unusual format became known as Slow TV. The idea behind Slow TV is simple: show an event from beginning to end with an uninterrupted timeline. Rather than cutting between scenes or shortening the experience, viewers are invited to watch the complete journey as it naturally happens. The movement began in 2009 with a surprising experiment. Thomas Hellum, a project manager at the Norwegian Broadcasting Company, and his colleagues were discussing ideas for programs based on experiences that naturally take a long time. During one conversation, someone suggested filming an entire train journey across Norway. The idea was straightforward: record the complete train trip from Oslo to Bergen and broadcast the entire seven-hour journey live.
