A deal between Netflix and Xbox has supposedly fallen through because of one minor quibble: Netflix wanted to adapt the console maker's games for $500m, not $800m.
That's according to Puck News' Matt Belloni, who reports that Netflix offered Xbox $500m to exclusively licence the company's games and turn them into streamable films or TV shows for the next seven years.

What we've been playing - "Shoving Moon Flesh into an alien grandma's mouth"
A few of the things that have us hooked this week. Hello, it is me, your regular weekend host Mertie and I am here once again to guide you gently into Saturday with our usual feature What We've Been Playing, where we write a little about the games we've been, yes, playing. This week, Bertie - before fleeing for a well-deserved break and leaving me with the keys to the place - runs a one-on-one D&D game; Connor plays with his Moon Flesh in Warframe, and I've been serenely gallivanting over yonder hills.

What are we all playing this weekend?
After months of umming ahhing over paint colours, covering our living room wall in little swatches of testers, we've finally got exasperated with the entire process selected Cherry Caramel. I would be clearing out the living room to start painting today, but, honestly, after the surprise DIY of an exploded sink yesterday, maybe what's called for is some gaming. Nothing to do with either piping, water levels, or interior design. Sorry, Pipemania, Bioshock, and House Flipper.

Dead by Daylight to Remove Chucky Content Just Months After Losing Michael Myers
Updated: Oct 24, 2026 12:01am UTCDead by Daylight fans are beside themselves after Behaviour Interactive announced that all Chucky content would no longer be available to purchase starting next month. The developer behind the popular asymmetrical horror game confirmed plans to pull the Chucky Chapter from sale in posts shared across social media. The message followed rumors that the possessed killer doll would soon be removed from the game, with the official statement promising that those who have purchased related content will be able to use it even after it is removed from shelves starting November 24, 2026. "We welcomed The Good Guy out of his box and into The Fog nearly three years ago, but it's now time for the Chucky Chapter to leave the shelf," Behaviour said. "On November 24, 2026, the Chapter and its associated content will be removed from in-game and first-party stores. Any content unlocked before that date will remain available to use in-game. "As detailed in an FAQ post shared by the developers, these changes to the Chucky Chapter mean a few things for Dead by Daylight players.
