Report: Simmons told to leave Chiefs meeting by Reid, Mahomes - TSN
Josh Simmons was told to leave a Kansas City Chiefs team meeting by coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes, a situation for which the second-year offensive tackle later apologized, sources told NFL Network. The incident occurred Wednesday, one day before the Chiefs placed Simmons on injured reserve because of a back injury. Simmons, a 2025 first-round draft pick who was inactive for Kansas City's first five games, was sitting with his feet up in the offense's meeting room when Reid asked him to put his feet down, according to multiple sources who witnessed the interaction. Simmons pushed back by telling Reid he had to sit that way because his back and hips were aching, according to sources. Reid instructed Simmons to get treatment from the athletic trainers if he was indeed in pain. The exchange continued and disrupted the meeting, sources said, until Mahomes echoed Reid's sentiment for Simmons to leave the room and go get treatment. A perturbed Simmons left the room but did not leave the building. Later in the day, Simmons apologized to Reid and team leadership by saying he could have handled the situation better.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Washington Capitals - NHL Game Recap - October 24, 2026 - CBS Sports
WASHINGTON (AP) Alex Tuch scored two goals, including the winner in overtime, to lead the Washington Capitals to a win over the Buffalo Sabres, 4-3 on Saturday night. Charlie Lindgren made 18 saves for the Capitals. Tuch opened the scoring for Washington when a pass bounced off Tage Thompson’s stick and into his own net. Dylan Strome scored 2:59 into the second period, then once more with 2:36 left in the period. Tuch was acquired this summer by the Capitals from the Sabres via sign-and-trade. He signed an eight-year, $84 million deal to help bolster the Capitals' offense. Jack Quinn and Josh Doan scored early for Buffalo to put the visitors up by two. The Capitals’ offense found its footing, though, and turned up the pressure on the Sabres’ defense to gain the lead in the second period, only to have Noah Ostlund tie it once again 2:20 into the third period. The game remained tied through the remainder of the third period, despite multiple power play opportunities and scoring chances for both teams. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 30 saves for the Sabres. The Capitals were coming off a loss to the previously winless Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday.
