Amazon launches two new portable AI listening devices - BNN Bloomberg

Published: October 15, 2026 at 3:47p.m. EDTSAN FRANCISCO — Amazon unveiled two new devices on Thursday for listening to and recording people’s information throughout the day to offer calendar reminders and other AI-driven insights under the Bee brand it acquired last year. Frontier is a bracelet and Eclipse is a brick that resembles a portable magnetic charger. Users attach the Eclipse to their smartphones. The devices aggregate information from calendars, apps and other data throughout the day, Amazon said. The Frontier bracelet costs US$75 and the Eclipse US$100, Amazon said. “They listen to your whole day,” said Amazon devices chief Panos Panay at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco. “It reminds you of the conversations you had, it reminds you of to-dos that you may have had, it tells you that you have some action items that you committed to other people.”Users control privacy: Amazon He said that because the devices are always listening when turned on, users do not have to make reminders for themselves and “can stay more present” throughout the day.

A travel expert who flies 150,000 miles a year shares the one item he always packs, even though he's rarely used it - Business Insider

Flight expert Zach Griff shares why he always brings an extra phone in his carry-on backpack. It's probably tucked away in a drawer, stashed in your desk or nightstand, beneath chargers, stray cords, and pieces of paper you don't think you're supposed to throw out but probably will never need again. You probably haven't thought about it since you put it there. But Zach Griff's old phone is in his carry-on backpack. Griff, a travel expert and author of the travel newsletter From the Tray Table, estimates that he flies an average of 150,000 miles a year. And for the past 11 years, he said, he's carried his retired cellphone with him around the world. Why you should always travel with 2 phones
