Historic hanging boulder crashes down at Polar Caves Park in New Hampshire
After more than a century at Polar Caves Park, a historic, 80-ton boulder fell down at the popular tourist site in New Hampshire on Sunday, the last day of the season. The tourist site announced the news Monday, saying “We are incredibly grateful no one was injured in the incident,” according to a statement posted on its website. The “Mysterious Hanging Boulder,” sat just above hikers’ heads as they traversed a stretch of trail at the park in Rumney. Nobody was in its path when it came crashing down, the park said. The boulder had held its spot for 104 years of the park’s existence, officials wrote in a social media post. A safety assessment will be conducted during their off-season. “The safety of our guests and employees continues to be our highest priority.”Get N. H. Could Democrats really lose the New Hampshire Senate race?
Part of the panic on the left is that New Hampshire Democrats seem to be running an old — and failed — playbook. Analysts and Democratic politicians themselves have repeatedly said that running against Trump, and not for anything in particular, was the great sin of the 2024 election. And in the years since, we’ve seen unlikely candidates succeed because they took that message to heart and ran on platforms that outlined a clear vision for what they would do if elected. The best example is Zohran Mamdani, who won the New York mayoral race in 2025 on the strength of a bold platform that offered remedies to voters’ everyday concerns: freeze the damn rent, raise the minimum wage, make buses fast and free. And this year, in close Senate races in Michigan and Maine, the Democratic candidates are running on unapologetically progressive platforms with ambitious agendas. But New Hampshire is not New York City, nor is it Maine or Michigan. And in this race, the Democrat is choosing to go in the other direction.

New image released of murder victim in 1982 New Hampshire cold case - CBS News
The New Hampshire Cold Case Unit released a new picture of 20-year-old Tammy Little, the victim of a 1982 homicide cold case. The image is being released "in an effort to generate new leads" as the 44th anniversary of Little's murder approaches, according to a statement from New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella. Little was found murdered inside her apartment at 315 Maplewood Avenue in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Oct. 19, 1982. She was last seen alive on Oct. 16, 1982. An autopsy later determined she had died of massive head injuries. She was a student at the Portsmouth Beauty School at the time of her death. "Tammy was the most joyful person. She was everyone's friend. If you were hurting or needed someone to talk to, she would be there and know what to say," Little's family said in a statement. "She was the one you called to lift you up, and she was the one to share your happiness with. Her light was so bright. " Investigators said they are specifically looking to hear from Little's former classmates, neighbors, or anyone who may have seen or spoken to Little between the last time she was seen alive and when her body was found.
