Dry skies and generally quiet weather will continue across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas through the work week, despite periods of passing cloud coverage and very slight rain chances that could lead to a brief sprinkle at most. Seasonably cool air that settled into the region this weekend will also warm up over the coming days, allowing afternoon highs to rise well into the mid to upper 70s by mid to late week. Partly cloudy skies Monday give way to a mostly clear night with light winds and lows falling well into the 40s by early Tuesday morning. Partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies prevail Tuesday with highs reaching the low 70s and light southerly breezes at 5 to 10 mph. Wednesday brings similar conditions with partly sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures for the afternoon.

Fall colours are peaking across southern Ontario. Here’s where to see them now

The annual fall colour display is reaching its peak in parts of southern Ontario, with forecasters saying a combination of sunny autumn days and cool nights has helped create the vibrant reds, oranges and yellows now appearing across forests, conservation areas and urban parks. CityNews meteorologist Natasha Ramsahai says many popular fall destinations north of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) are currently experiencing peak colour conditions, while leaves have largely remained on the trees thanks to a relatively mild and storm-free season.
