Marvel Studios’ Newly-Announced ‘Zodiac’ Show Gets Exciting Agents of SHIELD Connection Update (Report) - The Direct

Marvel Studios has been having its cake and eating it, too, on the Disney+ front. Earlier this year, Wonder Man, an Emmy-nominated show, got the axe after initially being renewed for a second season. Daredevil: Born Again also received the bad news that its third season will be its last, prompting star Charlie Cox to push for the return of the #SaveDaredevil campaign. But Marvel Studios is already moving on, officially announcing a new series for the platform, Zodiac. Producer Brad Winderbaum revealed next to nothing about the show when he took the stage at New York Comic-Con. He let the title and logo speak for themselves, and so far, they have. Fans quickly pointed out that a piece of the iconic SHIELD emblem appears in Zodiac's logo, sparking a social media stir. Insiders had to field questions about a potential return for Phil Coulson and Co. And while most of them were vague with their responses, one cut right to the chase. Marvel TelevisionAfter being asked whether Zodiac is a full-blown reboot of Agents of SHIELD on X, Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus shot the idea down. However, he did mention that some of the characters from that show will have a future in the MCU. No.

James Bond finalists to screen-test for role for this week – reports - The Guardian

The search for the next James Bond may finally be nearing its end: according to reports, a very select group of actors will screen-test to become the next British agent 007 this weekend. According to the Hollywood Reporter and Variety, citing several sources, a group of actors reportedly including Callum Turner and Slow Horses’ Jack Lowden, will appear in front of cameras as the secret agent this weekend in London. The tests supposedly include three elements: stunts, camera presence and dialogue. Reports vary that between three and five actors are finalists for the role, which was vacated by Daniel Craig after 2021’s No Time to Die. Despite speculation to the contrary, Sinners’ Jack O’Connell and Wuthering Heights star Jacob Elordi are not testing, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Dune film-maker Denis Villeneuve is set to direct the next installment of the Bond franchise for Amazon MGM studios, which bought the series rights as part of an $8.45bn (£6.9bn) deal in 2022. The Peaky Blinders writer Steven Knight will pen the script.
