With 22 games in its mainline series and a 23rd inbound, Call of Duty is a well-oiled machine, arriving every year like a tactically placed care package to offer multiple modes for every type of player. Modern Warfare 4 refuses to break that trend, with a dedicated campaign, DMZ extraction mode, and the ever-present multiplayer. But how will Modern Warfare 4’s multiplayer stack up against what came before? What king does it need to topple to be declared the best in class? Let’s find out. These are the 10 best Call of Duty Multiplayer Games. 10. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023)Infinity Ward’s second game in its Modern Warfare reboot series proved divisive. A year later, Sledgehammer Games was given the difficult task of taking the bones of Modern Warfare 2 and reworking it to address fan feedback. It achieved that goal in spades. Unlike the campaign, which was universally disliked, Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer stood tall as the entry’s defining mode. Modern Warfare 2’s worst additions were removed. The snappy movement of 2019’s Modern Warfare returned, and the recharging perks were scrapped in favour of a gear system that mirrored the classic perk structure.

Urine Trouble: PEE V PEE, a multiplayer game about hiding from the cops while you take a whizz on public property, takes the trophy for punniest title of the year

I've been doing this whole games journalism for over five years now, and I've seen a lot of different kinds of games in that time. I've written about plenty of them too, with a fair few being plenty weird. But I'll admit that today's game is one that I do understand if I were to tell anyone I'm interested in playing who maybe isn't familiar with games as a whole, they'd probably talk to someone else at the party. You see, Urine Trouble: PEE V PEE is a competitive online game all about pissing literally everywhere, and trying not to get caught doing so. In Urine Trouble: PEE V PEE, public urination has become punishable by death. "Good! " I hear those of you who hate when people randomly piss on the side of a building, though perhaps the death penalty is an overreaction. As a response to this, a group of rebels known as The Pissers decide to take back their city by pissing on literally everything. Luckily, you, as a Pisser, are able to blend in with the NPCs of the world in order to hide from the cops, as every single character looks almost exactly the same.

Star Wars Galactic Racer will soon welcome larger podracing parties, with multiplayer group size limits set to double in a future update

I've admittedly not delved into any multiplayer action in Star Wars: Galactic Racer since the gates to its racetracks were opened to the masses early this week. Look, I needed a quick breather after ramjetting my way through 40 or so hours of it for review. It looks like I might have to try and convince my colleagues to hop on for an RPS Boonta Eve classic soon though, as devs Fuse Games have already announced plans to up multiplayer party sizes so you can invite six mates along instead of three. "We'd like to let you and everyone on this thread know that we hear you," devs Fuse Games replied to a tweet wishing Galactic Racer's multiplayer party limit was higher. "We're working on an update to increase the party size from three to six players, with the aim of releasing it within the first few weeks of launch. More details coming soon! "
