Tesla (TSLA) delivered 486,532 vehicles in the third quarter of 2026, down 2.1% from the record 497,099 it delivered in the same quarter last year.
That’s still about 25,000 more than Wall Street expected, with the consensus at 461,974 deliveries. Tesla also delivered about 22,000 more vehicles than it built.

Tesla (TSLA) proxy shows a board getting ready for a SpaceX merger
Tesla’s proxy for its 2026 annual meeting, filed today, confirms that one of its supposedly independent directors now sits on SpaceX’s board. Ira Ehrenpreis, who chairs both Tesla’s compensation committee and its governance committee, joined SpaceX’s board in February. That’s one of several details in the filing that line up with a Tesla-SpaceX merger. There’s a three-item ballot, an auto-voting program that kicks in for the next vote, and Musk pay terms that pay out on a deal price alone.

Tesla (TSLA) wins SEC OK to auto-vote retail shares with board ahead of SpaceX merger
Tesla (TSLA) got the SEC’s blessing today to let retail shareholders sign up for a standing instruction that automatically votes their shares the way Tesla’s board recommends, at every meeting, until they cancel it. The timing is hard to ignore. Tesla still hasn’t scheduled its 2026 annual meeting, and Elon Musk keeps teasing a SpaceX merger that could hand him a big chunk of his $1 trillion pay package without hitting a single operational goal.

Tesla (TSLA) Q3 2026 delivery estimates range from 422,000 to 482,000
Wall Street can’t agree on how many cars Tesla (TSLA) sold in Q3 2026. Estimates from major banks range from 421,758 to 482,000 deliveries ahead of Friday’s report. That’s a 60,000-unit spread. And after the Street missed Tesla’s Q2 deliveries by 74,000 units, nobody has much credibility on this one.

Lucid (LCID) Q3 deliveries drop 7% as it slashes production by 38%
Lucid (LCID) delivered 3,806 vehicles in the third quarter, down 7% from a year ago. It built only 2,954, a 38% cut from the previous quarter and its lowest production since early 2025. The automaker says that’s on purpose. New CEO Silvio Napoli is selling down the unsold cars Lucid piled up in the first half of the year, and Q3 is the first quarter of 2026 in which it delivered more vehicles than it built.

NIO (NIO) Q3 deliveries rise 25%, but September growth slows to 7.7%
NIO delivered 109,178 electric vehicles in the third quarter of 2026, a 25.4% increase over last year and right inside the 108,000 to 111,000 range it guided for in September. But the quarter ended on a weak note. September deliveries grew just 7.7% year-over-year to 37,408 units, the slowest pace of 2026, as the ONVO brand fell 43%.
