Published: October 19, 2026 at 3:53p.m. EDTBNN Bloomberg is Canada’s definitive source for business news dedicated exclusively to helping Canadians invest and build their businesses. MONTRÉAL — Quebec Superior Court has rejected a motion by Amazon filed in connection with the company’s challenge to unionization efforts at its now-shuttered Laval warehouse. A union affiliated with the CSN was certified in May 2024, before the e-commerce giant shuttered all seven of its warehouses in the province. Amazon had challenged the unionization, arguing the process violated workers’ freedom of association because a secret vote was not held. Latest updates on company news hereAmazon argued that this violated the right of workers to freedom of association, but Quebec’s administrative labour tribunal ruled in October 2024 that the company didn’t have standing to invoke that right on behalf of others. Amazon challenged the decision on procedural fairness grounds, asserting that it had not been given the opportunity to fully present its position. Quebec Superior Court, however, has upheld the labour tribunal’s decision and dismissed the challenge.

Those that are utilizing AI agents and tools already can see it. I believe that everyone with a computer or cell phone will have some degree of a paid monthly service for an AI assistant. The CapEx required in the coming years alone to get there can boost GDP by enough to likely avoid a recession due a Federal fiscal cliff coming after the U. S. election. Odds are increasing that democrats take both houses of Congress according to the betting markets. 2026 Midterm Elections predictions & odds | Polymarket This opens the high possibility that Trump has a tantrum and shuts the government down blaming the Democrats. While the U. S. will not default on its debt, you can bet that will come up on social media posts and add another layer of uncertainty that U. S. hegemony is in decline. Historically, markets like gridlock (Congress one party, White House opposite party). Less government manipulation has historically been a positive.
