Samsung might be planning its most aggressive foldable year yet in 2027. According to tipster TheGalox, the company could launch as many as six Galaxy Z devices next year, more than double what it usually puts out.

The rumored lineup includes the Galaxy Z Slide, Galaxy Z TriFold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 9 Pro, Galaxy Z Fold 9, and Galaxy Z Flip 9. If this pans out, it would give people a much wider range of foldable options than Samsung has offered before.

iPhone Duo Size Comparison vs. 2026’s Best Android Foldables - Gizmodo

The iPhone Duo is officially available today. Apple Stores around the world are packed, if today’s launch at the flagship Fifth Avenue location in New York City was an indication. If you can’t be bothered to rub elbows with customers with $2,000 to spend on the foldable, allow me to show you how Apple’s first foldable phone compares to the latest flagship Android-based models. First up, some reference for the iPhone Duo’s size. From left to right below, we have the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, the iPhone Duo, a U. S. passport, and a B6-sized notebook. As you can see, the iPhone Duo has the smallest footprint. What you can’t get in this photo is the thickness and weight. The iPhone Duo is about the thickness of three passports stacked together and feels substantially heavy in your hand. At 254g, it’s heavier than even the iPhone 18 Pro Max. © Adriano Contreras / Gizmodo Here’s the same comparison but with the outer displays turned on for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and iPhone Duo. The displays on both devices are glossy and 120Hz. While the sizes are similar (5.5 inches on the Z Fold 8 and 5.4 inches on the iPhone Duo), the software is different.

Can Eight Years Change Your Mind? Samsung Canada Invites Canadians to Revisit Their First Impressions of Foldables - Morningstar

Samsung Canada brings early reactions back into the conversation as foldables move into the mainstream When Samsung initially introduced the Galaxy Fold in 2019, it challenged long-held ideas about what a smartphone could be and the internet had opinions. Consumers and reviewers were skeptical whether foldables were too experimental, too fragile or unlikely to become everyday devices.

Foldables Aren't New. I’ve Been Using One Since My First Phone! - Mexico Business News

I have a confession: I've always had a thing for unconventional phones. Long before smartphones became slabs of glass that all looked the same, I was fascinated by devices that tried to solve different problems in different ways. I remember using a Motorola StarTAC when simply flipping a phone open felt futuristic. Later, I experimented with LG devices that featured external and internal displays with a fancy blue LED screen as opposed to mainstream red, and even innovative camera designs that you could attach to your phone to increase the lens size without compromising design and made taking self-portraits easier years before "selfie" became part of our vocabulary. Then there was Nokia. One of the things I loved about Nokia (apart from playing snake) was that you could often tell who a phone was designed for just by looking at it. Some models were clearly built for music lovers. Others prioritized photography. Somewhere in my tech graveyard, I still have one of those that looked more like a camera than a phone. I have vivid memories of my first Samsung.
