CanMNT 3 takeaways: Canada conquer sluggish Chile despite struggles of their own - Canadian Soccer Daily -

The night began with a salute to Les Rouges’ triumphs a few months ago, then quickly became the new beginnings that fans will look back on a few years from now — through it all, the CanMNT’s first test of the 2030 World Cup cycle was a win. The 1-0 dub over 9-man Chile at BMO Field was not pretty, nor was it a spark for night-long partying. CJPME condemns conflation of anti-Zionism with antisemitism by Public Safety Canada - CJPME

Montreal, October 1, 2026  — Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) has issued the following statement in response to a document published by Public Safety Canada that designates anti-Zionism as a form of antisemitism: As an organization that aims to promote Palestinian human rights and respect for international law, we are alarmed about a recent document published by Public Safety Canada which describes anti-Zionism wholly as a form of antisemitism. The document, which is described as a “Progress Report” on Canada’s commitments to combatting antisemitism, makes this conflation in two instances, and it does so without defining what anti-Zionism is. We reject this claim as a dangerous attack on legitimate political speech, and urge the Canadian government to immediately retract it.
